Hello there!😊
My name is Leyre and I'm 28 years old from the Basque Country, Spain.
I have always been a curious, friendly and open-minded person. I consider myself hardworking, energetic and organized.
I'm seeking a new adventure! I recently came to the conclusion that my life consisted in studying and working. Basically just existing. And I don't want that at all. So here I am, changing it!

My goal is to pursue a joyful life and that for me means get to travel more. I really enjoy exploring new places, from the views, the art and science museums, the architecture, the little shops and libraries you discover walking around the city (I always bring some books as a souvenir from my travels), etc. I enjoy discovering different cultures, trying local food, and meeting people.
In my opinion, the people you meet along the way are what make life truly special. I feel that get to know people from different backgrounds and cultures gives you a new perspective of the world. I'm willing to make new friends and happy memories ☺️.

Another thing I love is to learn new skills. From languages (I'm currently learning Japanese and Korean), writing, painting, sewing, crochet, ceramics and handicrafts in general, to scuba diving.
Since I'm also quite interested in ecology and conservation, I’ve taken courses on marine life and environmental threats like microplastics.

As for the question "who am I?", here are some random things about me:
-I am a total ambivert!
-I love to spend quality time with great people.
-I also love plants but they don't like me back. I'm working on it though 🌻.
-I went vegan when I was 13-14 and have been happily vegan half my life.
-I feel really connected to nature 🍃 but I also enjoy the city vibes.
-I often read two books at once because I’m an indecisive woman, and my "want to read" list is only getting longer for some reason 😅.
-Though I wouldn't say I'm a genius at cooking, I'm constantly trying new recipes from all over the world.
-I am a big fan of Studio Ghibli movies 🧡.

I was a clinical laboratory manager and technician in Spain for almost 5 years. In my previous job, I focused on studying the outcome and recovery of neurological diseases. In that position I learned to maintain an organised, tidy and clean working space, as well as being responsible and reliable.
I also have volunteered as cleaning manager in Japan.
Right now I work at a local cafe, learning how to be a barista, job that I enjoy to the fullest since it allows me to interact with people from all over the world :)
