  • Description

Hi, I’m Lena – a hands-on, curious and open-minded person with a love for nature, new experiences, and meaningful connections.

I grew up in southern Germany, right next to a farm, surrounded by nature, animals and the rhythm of outdoor life. This upbringing shaped who I am — practical, grounded and always ready to jump in and help.

Over the past few years, I’ve lived and worked in Cologne and Berlin, as well as in Australia, Ethiopia, Vietnam and South Africa.
My journey has taken me from an apple farm in the Australian outback to guesthouse work, supporting fashion and production teams in Addis Ababa, contributing to manufacturing in Ho Chi Minh City, and volunteering on community and construction projects in Cape Town.

Professionally, I studied garment technology and worked in product development and quality assurance. Back home, I’ve always helped out in my family’s restaurant and currently, I’m working there in service, coordinating events, handling office tasks and taking care of whatever else needs doing. I also lend a hand in our vineyards.

I’m passionate about outdoor activities like hiking, trail running, cycling and being in the ocean. I’m always open to trying new sports and eager to experience something different. I enjoy learning new skills, exploring different cultures, contributing to creative or hands-on projects and being part of something meaningful.

Whether I’m working with people, taking care of things behind the scenes, or getting my hands dirty - I love to be useful and part of a team. I value honesty, laughter and creating something positive together. At the same time, I appreciate moments of quiet to recharge.

Excited to see where the next experience takes me and hopefully, to meet you! :)

  • More details about your skills

My family runs a restaurant and cultivates its own wine. I started working there at the age of 16 and still actively contribute whenever I am home. My tasks have always been diverse, as every day brings new challenges.

In the vineyards, there is work to be done 365 days a year—pruning, defoliating, and, of course, the harvest itself.

At the restaurant, my main responsibilities included shopping at the wholesale market, waitressing, assisting in the kitchen (salads/desserts), helping organize events, selling our own wine, and much more. This is how I earned money while attending school.

Through this experience, I learned a lot about what it takes to run a business in both gastronomy and agriculture. It also strengthened my ability to work with people, tackle new challenges, find quick solutions, take initiative, and recognize what needs to be done.

    Future Experiences
    2016 - 2017 | Au Pair in Sydney, Australia
Lived with a host family and took care of three children (aged 2, 4, and 6 at the time) for 30 hours per week. My responsibilities included getting them ready for school, drop-off and pick-up, helping with homework, organizing activities, and cooking meals.

    2017 - 2019 | Training as a Clothing Technology Assistant, Cologne, Germany
Completed a vocational training program in clothing technology.

    2019 - 2020 | Work in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Had the amazing and unique opportunity to live and work for six months in a production facility and fashion school in Ethiopia. It was a fascinating experience, as I was deeply inspired by the culture. I learned a lot from my boss but also had the chance to share my own knowledge. I worked independently, quickly took on responsibility, and always approached my tasks with enthusiasm.

    2020 - 2024 | Studies & Part-Time Job in Berlin
Studied Clothing Technology in Berlin while working part-time at an e-commerce fashion company. I was involved in product development and quality control, collaborating with international colleagues.
