Hello! My name is Lavie, I'm 22 years old from Israel.
I've been travelling the world for a few months now, and I'm currently in Canada with an open work permit. I'm combining travelling with working, for the main reason that I feel that working in a place gives you the ability to get to know it, the culture, the people and the vibe in a way that conventional tourism just can't give you!

Canada is so different from what I'm used to, and I'm looking for adventurous, interesting jobs that would be hard for me to find anywhere else, and that could help me acquire new skills, and learn about different ways of living.

A bit about me: I have lots of experience working physically demanding jobs in harsh environments. Anything from ranching and dairy farming, to archeological sites all the way to military armed security. I'm a hardworking, reliable and dedicated employee, and I'm always eager to learn :)

In my pastime I like to listen and play music (piano and guitar), read books, and watch movies. I strive to spend as much time in nature as I can, and would be down to do anything I the outdoors. I'm an avid hiker, and my favourite thing about Canada is the amount of wild, untamed nature it has to offer.

As for working skills, I can operate most power tools, and know basic construction and maintenance skills. I'm more than comfortable working outside in physically demanding tasks, especially if those tasks require problem solving and learning!

I'm great with animals and have worked on a dairy farm back home for a few years. I also have some experience tending plants and picking berries 🍒

One of my favourite things to do by myself or with friends is cooking, I have been doing it with my family since my childhood and have become quite good over the years.

I can speak, read and write fluently in both English and Hebrew. I'm an very interested in languages and linguistics, and would love to learn and teach. Currently trying to sharpen my Arabic, and learn some Spanish!

Aside from that, I've been playing the piano and guitar for a few years now, and one of my favourite ways to connect with people is through music; playing, sharing and listening :)
