Hi I’m Kit! I’m an adventure loving non-binary person from the UK. I am 20 and am currently on my third solo traveling trip! I love being outside and exploring the world around me, whilst learning a lot along the way! I enjoy cooking, nature, learning about plants and animals, gardening and any outdoor activities like camping, canoeing, caving and backpacking. I love getting stuck into a project. Growing up in a family of 5, family and friendship has always been really important to me. I am looking forward to meeting loads of new people, sharing experiences and learning different cultures!

In the summer of 2024, I worked at Camp Ocean Pines, a summer camp in Cambria, California where I looked after a group of 6-10 children (often alongside a co counselor) and ran activities like tidepooling, kayaking and axe throwing. I also have experience in childcare from babysitting, coaching an under 11s girls football team and supporting my mum when she was childminding. I have lots of experience in the outdoors, through my college course where I completed a level 3 diploma in Outdoor Adventure. I've done multiple workaways on farms and am gaining more skills in that area. Throughout my childhood I helped my dad grow vegetables and fruits at our allotment patch. We also kept 2 chickens, which I looked after. I am also very keen to learn more skills in growing vegetables, cooking dishes from different cultures and DIY.

I spent 10 days with Krishna and Laxmi on their farm. It’s a very beutiful, green place and time moves slower there than in the city. I was warmly welcomed into their home. I was due to stay two weeks here in Chiti but ended up staying just over a month as it was such an amazing experience.

I stayed with Tom and Borut for two weeks and it was fantastic.
All the tasks were very varied from herding goats and sheep, making or preparing new pastures, making pasta, removing stones and digging holes to plant trees. The tasks were fun and fulfilling.

I had a excellent experience with Kit, who worked on a big garden project and made lots of progress on it. Kit cooked quite a bit, as well: yummy crepes, flatbread, and a few dinners.
