Hey Guys,
my name ist Katja, I'm a 21 year old geography student in Munich. This comes with a huge interest for countries, their people, the landscape and different ways of living. In school I spent 6 months in France, which started my hunger for experiencing the life of real people in their day to day tasks - not just being a tourist. In my free time I like to go hiking, drawing, doing sports, swimming, dancing and most of all making music. Singing and playing the piano is one of my greatest joys. All of that I especially enjoy doing with my dormmates from all over the world. I would describe myself as very social, even though it can take a moment for me to really open up. I'm looking forward to meet you and get to know a part of your world:)

More details about my language interests
I speak german fluently and would very much enjoy speaking with you or children in german. In english I'm also fluent, but I will be honest: grammar is not something that I could/ should teach;) I speak french (lived in France for half a year and learned it in school until I graduated), but haven't used it as much in the last 3 years. I would love to speak it again though and unpack all that is in the corners of my brain. I'm currently learning spanish, but I'm really at the beginning. I understand a lot but haven't talked much yet. I would absolutely love to learn it though, because many of my dormmates speak it and it's generally a much spoken language.

After school I worked at an interieur decorater for a year. I would help put in new floors, bolster chairs, sew cushions and curtains, put up sunshades inside and outside and paint the walls. Included in that work was also 3 months of school, where we learned about materials and techniques. I also spend a lot of time sewing for myself (like altering clothes from the thriftshop).

I spent one week at a farm in south tirol, helping with cleaning the cowshed and collecting the hay in the steep areas, where the machines couldn't go. This is also something that I helped my father a lot all through my life, because he mows the hill, where my grandma used to live, once a year.

I also worked as a babysitter for 4 years and a tutor for younger students in my school in various different forms (after school homework assistance and playing; private lessons in math, english and french)
