Hello! :) We are a couple and both 30-year olds from the UK travelling in Australia on a working holiday visa for a year and looking for opportunities to volunteer in new and interesting jobs such as farm work, conservation, gardening and any other new experiences. We both wish to explore the wonderful nature and embrace the biodiversity of Australia, whilst making meaningful connections. We both have full driving licenses, but do not own a vehicle at present. We are not always travelling together, so there would be workaways where it will just be one of us looking to volunteer.

Kate is passionate about cooking and her favourite part of this is trying to make food from other cultures so she would love to learn about what you like to cook too! She loves meeting new people and hearing their stories but also appreciates quiet time with a book and a nice view after a busy day.

Liam grew up in Zambia surrounded by beautiful landscapes, habitats and wildlife, on a non-working rural farmstead. He will try to take every opportunity to learn, observe and help wildlife and animals, with safaris, snorkelling and birdwatching being some of his favourite pastimes. He is also eager to connect with locals and communities during my travel to exchange skills, knowledge, adventures and stories.

Kate has owned dogs, cats and horses most of her life and she is well used to their care and the work that comes with it. She is a good cook and well-versed in cooking for large groups and adapting meals to others' preferences. Outside of the home, she is a data analyst back in the UK so is adept at maths, spreadsheets and general technology if that's handy too.

Liam is a civil engineer on a long sabbatical from his work with over 5 years experience in civil engineering consultancies, specialising in flood alleviation schemes. He has many transferable skills from this work that should help in environmental management, drainage and other designs. He also have some experience in office administration, as an industrial labourer on a building site, a warehouse assistant and a kitchen hand. He grew up on a farm and have always had pets to look after, including dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs and rabbits. He enjoys cooking too!

What else ...

Kate loves learning languages and is also a big fan of PC gaming, often fantasy or dungeon crawler games. Both Liam and Kate also like playing board games and have played quite a range from going to board game cafes regularly.
