hello people,

I am Julia (24) from Germany, but living mainly abroad.
I love the sea and am fond of languages, travelling, especially with Workaway, as I like to meet people from all over the world and become a part of the places I stay at, instead of just being a tourist on vacation...

Ive been travelling for the past years and living abroad, working in hostels, farms, language camps, an off grid community and as snorkelling or dive guide for a marine school and dive center, as well as Captain for boat and diving trips.

I am an independent author, have a passion for the sea, diving and nature, and dream of living on a sailing boat one day while travelling the world.

I'd love to join you and be a part of your team or family for a while, always ready to learn something new or help with whatever comes up :)

I love to work on and in the sea!
Im a certified divemaster (CMAS/SSI) and worked four season at a dive center, where I handle boats, guide dives, give marine biological snorkelling tours, look after equipment and our guests and take care of social media and bookings.

My previous work included:
a few hostels in GB and Panama, both as receptionist, cleaner and housekeeper or breakfast service. Customer service in tourism: Mail correspondence and bookings for the dive center and a cinema.
Also, I worked a lot with kids and adults, looking after guests or giving language classes or snorkelling tours teaching about marine biology, German, English and creative workshops. For a few years Ive also been Captain on the boats.
I have experience with farm work, boat maintenance like painting and sanding or underwater cleaning, garden work and painting, as well as general renovation.

I spent two weeks in Braunwald as a German/English teacher and can only recommend. I met so many lovely people, teachers, volunteers and the kids are really sweet, like a big family. I'm so happy I could make this experience and would love to work with you again :)

This is such a beautiful place and the two weeks I got to stay there were just wonderful! It felt very much like home and everyone was so kind and welcoming from the start! Thank you all so much again for these two weeks, it was a great experience, I can only recommend :)
