Hello! I am traveling with the aspiration of building beautiful connections, improving my Spanish, and bringing what I learn back to my community in Chicago. I grew up in a shared house (intentional community) so I value sharing both responsibilities and with talents others. I've already spent several months studying and volunteering entirely in Spanish in Colombia and Bolivia, so I feel ready to adapt to life in Mexico. I love food, music, dance and hanging out with kids!

Crecí en una casa compartida (comunidad intencional), así que valoro compartir responsabilidades y talentos con otros. Ya llevo varios meses estudiando en Colombia y haciendo voluntariado en Bolivia-- los dos completamente en español -- así que me siento lista para adaptarme a la vida en México. ¡Me encanta la comida, la música, el baile y pasar tiempo con niños!

I am looking to be immersed in Spanish and would love for my hosts to correct me when I make mistakes so that I can improve. I am also interested in learning the basics of whatever indigenous languages are spoken where I am staying. I have 5+ years experience teaching dance classes and tutoring academic subjects with children aged 3-18 years. I have cared for babies and young children as a nanny as well. I also have experience working in reception and administrative roles. I am a native English speakers and have studied and volunteered for several months in Spanish-only environments. I am organized, detail-oriented, and take pride in my work. I am open to learning new skills alongside my hosts!
