Hey, I’m Jimmy! I just joined the Workaway community, and I will be starting my next journey exploring Southeast Asia, beginning with Malaysia in April 2025.

A year ago, I decided to leave the corporate life behind in Dubai and move to Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt, after realizing I wanted more freedom, adventure, and real connections. It opened my eyes to a new path full of learning, excitement, and self-discovery.

I’m a mix of a tech-savvy problem solver and a hands-on worker. I enjoy videography and photography, and I have experience in multiple fields, including social media marketing, customer service, hotel & property management, and even teaching both kids and adults. I also don’t mind getting my hands dirty with woodworking, farming, and eco-projects. Being in nature keeps me grounded, and I’m always looking to learn new skills.

The ocean is my next challenge; diving and snorkeling in Dahab have opened up a whole new world for me, and I can’t wait to explore it further and learn as much as I can if possible.

I’m excited to meet new people from different backgrounds, hear their stories, and create meaningful memories. Traveling for me isn’t just about places; it’s more about people. I’d love to share experiences, exchange cultures & languages, and make lifelong friends along the way.

Photography & Videography – I create promotional videos and visual content that capture moments, showcase experiences, and enhance brand identity. Whether it’s filming, editing, or post-production, I enjoy bringing creative ideas to life.

Social Media Management & Marketing – I have experience handling social media pages, creating engaging content, running promotions, and growing online communities. I understand how to attract and retain an audience through storytelling, visuals, and strategic engagement.

Hospitality & Customer Service – I’ve worked in hotel and property management, handling everything from bookings to check-ins & check-outs. Providing great guest experiences and ensuring smooth operations are things I excel at.

Project Management & Problem-Solving – I’m highly organized and love taking on challenges, whether it’s overseeing logistics, coordinating teams, or streamlining processes to improve efficiency. I can handle anything computer-related, from basic troubleshooting to more complex digital tasks.

Teaching & Language Skills – I have experience teaching both Arabic and English to kids and adults, tailoring lessons to different learning styles and proficiency levels. Language exchange and cultural learning are things I’m passionate about.

Hands-on Work & Learning New Skills – I’m always eager to expand my skill set, especially in areas like carpentry, farming, and eco-friendly building techniques (such as working with bamboo and sustainable materials). I love being in nature and learning how to create with my hands.

I love all kinds of board games and enjoy reading psychology books. Sports are a big part of my life, especially basketball, American football; i also like fishing, snorkeling, and diving. I'm deeply interested in marine life and eco-friendly initiatives, always looking for ways to connect with nature and sustainability.

I love to make genuine connections, learn more about different cultures and make friends along the way.

I’m also a huge dog lover and a passionate gamer in my free time. Whether it’s exploring new adventures, learning something new, or simply enjoying a good game, I’m always up for exciting experiences!
