We are Jessa and Gaultier a couple who love exploring new places, value simple living, embracing new cultures and learning from every experience🌸 We love being in nature, and prefer to be away from the city life 🏝️🏔️

I (Jessa) was born and raised in London, with both my parents being native from the Philippines. And Goti was born in France, however spent most of his life in Spain.

Goti:
I have a big love for music. I will always be travelling with my Guitar 🙃 I am a flamenco guitarist 💃🎶 and have spent some years meeting musicians whilst travelling, creating very memorable music. If your a musician too, send us a message and we’d love to meet you 💫
I am also passionate about wine 🍷 I have masters in winery. We can talk and taste some good wines together 😉
I have spent the majority of my life working in hospitality as a head chef, so I am happy to cook for you sometimes and we can learn new recipes from each-other 😋🍴
I am also a handy man, i like to work with my hands, helping in DIY’s, woodworks, building projects, gardening, manual works etc 🪴🪚 I have experience in doing these also ☝️
I like to surf and do sports too.
I speak fluent French, Spanish and English.

Jessa:
I am an english teacher, both online and in person. I have taught in many countries 🙂 I am more than happy to do a language exchange, or if you just need help learning english !
I also have experience in hospitality, working in different positions. 🍸 I’ve spent some time working as a receptionist so i’d be able to help with reservations etc.
I would like to learn to bake, and learn to do more creative things, I can sew, and I’d like to learn painting, pottery etc. 🎨 🪡
I speak fluent English, and learning Spanish and French.

We are both curious, open minded and always happy to help, get involved and try new things. We enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life and believe that every exchange teaches us something valuable. Workaway is a perfect way for us to travel slowly, contribute wherever we can, and learn from the people we meet.

Somos Jessa y Gaultier, una pareja a la que le encanta explorar nuevos lugares, valora la vida sencilla, abrazar nuevas culturas y aprender de cada experiencia 🌸 Nos encanta estar en la naturaleza y preferimos estar lejos de la vida urbana 🏝️🏔️

Yo (Jessa) nací y crecí en Londres, y mis dos padres son originarios de Filipinas. Y Goti nació en Francia, aunque pasó la mayor parte de su vida en España.

Goti:
Tengo un gran amor por la música. Siempre viajo con mi guitarra 🙃 Soy guitarrista flamenco 💃🎶 y he pasado algunos años conociendo músicos mientras viajaba, creando música muy memorable. Si tú también eres músico, mándanos un mensaje y nos encantaría conocerte 💫
También me apasiona el vino 🍷 Tengo un máster en enología. Podemos hablar y degustar algunos buenos vinos juntos 😉
He pasado la mayor parte de mi vida trabajando en hostelería como chef ejecutivo, así que estaré encantado de cocinar para vosotros a veces y aprender nuevas recetas unos de otros 😋
También soy manitas: me gusta trabajar con mis manos, ayudar en proyectos de bricolaje, carpintería, construcción, jardinería, trabajos manuales, etc. 🪴🪚 Tengo experiencia en todo esto también ☝️
Me gusta surfear y practicar deportes. Hablo francés, español e inglés con fluidez.

Jessa:
Soy profesora de inglés, tanto online como presencial. He enseñado en muchos países 🙂 Estaré encantada de hacer un intercambio de idiomas o ayudarte si necesitas aprender inglés.
También tengo experiencia en hostelería, trabajando en diferentes puestos 🍸 He pasado un tiempo trabajando como recepcionista, así que podría ayudar con reservas, etc.
Me gustaría aprender a hornear y a hacer más cosas creativas. Sé coser y me gustaría aprender pintura, cerámica, etc. 🎨🪡
Hablo inglés con fluidez y estoy aprendiendo español y francés.

Ambos somos curiosos, de mente abierta y siempre felices de ayudar, involucrarnos y probar cosas nuevas. Disfrutamos conectar con personas de todos los ámbitos de la vida y creemos que cada intercambio nos enseña algo valioso. I'm passionate about helping others learn English (Goti can teach french or Spanish) . We teach in a fun and supportive way. We have taught in places like Morocco and I (Jessa) in Switzerland, and Portugal. Jessa does teaches English online and in person too. We also are open and willing to learn languages of others, and I (Jessa) would like to improve my Spanish and French. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Me apasiona ayudar a otros a aprender inglés (Goti puede enseñar francés o español). Enseñamos de una manera divertida y de apoyo. Hemos enseñado en lugares como Marruecos, y yo (Jessa) en Suiza y Portugal. Jessa también enseña inglés en línea y de manera presencial. También estamos abiertos y dispuestos a aprender los idiomas de otras personas, y yo (Jessa) me gustaría mejorar mi español y francés.

We speak English, French, and Spanish fluently, happy to do a language exchange and help people learn these languages.
Goti: I can do manual works and can help with construction, DIY works, general work, and gardening. I also have lots of experience in cooking and winery. As I am also a musician I'd love to do jam sessions with you.
Jessa: I can help with reservations, teaching, gardening, sewing. I'd love to learn to bake.
We surf a lot and enjoy pretty much any kind of sports or outdoor activities. Of course we are open and very happy to help and get involved in other things too :)

Hablamos inglés, francés y español con fluidez, y estaremos encantados de hacer un intercambio de idiomas y ayudar a las personas a aprender estos idiomas.

Goti: Puedo realizar trabajos manuales y ayudar con construcción, bricolaje, trabajos generales y jardinería. También tengo mucha experiencia en cocina y en bodegas. Además, como soy músico, me encantaría hacer sesiones de jam contigo.

Jessa: Puedo ayudar con reservas, enseñanza, jardinería y costura. Me encantaría aprender a hornear.

Surfamos mucho y disfrutamos prácticamente de cualquier tipo de deporte o actividad al aire libre. Por supuesto, también estamos abiertos y muy felices de ayudar y participar en otras cosas :)

One of the most wonderful,cheerful and the nicest volunteers I have hosted.Jessa helped for around two months.She is such a wonderful person. During her stay, she was always there to help with everything from talking to students and sharing her life experience with them to giving them a lot of moral support and positive feedback .

This was my first work away experience and it was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better way to start to my travel journey!
I stayed at this work away for a little over a month. There are 4 schools, Casablanca uptown, Casablanca Downtown, El Jadida, Berrchid. I stayed 2 weeks in uptown Casablanca, 2 weeks in downtown Casablanca and 1 week in… read more El Jadida. The downtown Casablanca apartment was separate from the school and is based in the centre of Casablanca, a short walk to the medina, the uptown Casablanca apartment is within the school building but has its own floor and it is a little bit further from the centre. The El Jadida apartment was also located within the same building as the school just down the hall, however this was my favourite. The apartment was very nice, with a huge rooftop terrace that is only accessible to the volunteers, and in the two out of the three rooms given, you had your own balcony. The city was much calmer than Casablanca, and the beaches here were also very nice. I was lucky enough to meet a talented musician here and was able to listen to him play with other talented musicians in the local area most nights, and it was incredible, seeing all the locals coming together and creating music was so nice. I wish i had more time here.
I got the chance to live with very lovely people from all over the world. You get 3/4 days off (in El Jadida it is a little different, i am pretty sure you only have Monday off) and during this time you can go and see different parts of morocco or go on these amazing trips that Harim organises for all the volunteers. I 100% recommend going on these trips, it is a chance to meet all the other volunteers from the 4 different schools, and also explore the cities for a good price. There is the desert trip and the Chefchouen trip. During these trips I met some of the most amazing people and shared beautiful experiences with them. I was surrounded by people speaking French, Spanish and German, and i think i have picked up a lot of vocabulary from them ,especially the french ;) The driver, Jawad is also one of the nicest people you will meet, he took care of us on these trips. He was so funny and nice.
The work/teaching was very easy and simple, the teachers give you a topic and you have simple conversations with the students. In downtown Casablanca and El Jadida, classes were only 1 hour a day, more or less apart from Saturday which i think is a little longer, they are also scheduled at a good time, normally around 19h/20h so you have more than enough free time to explore the city. The teachers and students were also very nice, and it made me happy seeing the students super eager to learn.
I want to thank Harim for everything that he organises and for being so nice and helpful. Also allowing me to have experiences and make memories that i will never forget. Hilal (Harims assistant) was also super nice, he always asked how you were and made sure you were ok. Thank you Harim for letting me stay here, it was amazing. I wish them the best and I hope to be back soon :)
