Hello everyone! 😊

My name is Jesica, I’m 44 years old and I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I found this beautiful platform thanks to a friend who’s been part of the Workaway community for a long time. I told him how eager I was to travel to Europe but that I was struggling to find accommodation within my budget, and he suggested I give Workaway a try — and here I am!

What a joy to see that there are hosts from all over the world offering their homes and experiences in exchange for help, cultural exchange, and connection. I think that’s simply wonderful.

Now a little about me:
I’m of Italian descent, something I’m very proud of. I’m a warm, respectful, and kind person. I love being around people and sharing stories over long meals. I’m very family-oriented and I truly enjoy meaningful conversations, laughter, and that beautiful sense of connection that comes from spending real time together.

Something that I truly value is sharing free time with people of all ages — I believe there is so much to learn from every generation. These exchanges enrich us deeply and help us grow into better human beings.

Since I was young, I’ve felt a deep calling to help others. I've always done volunteer work — never in exchange for food or accommodation, but out of love and solidarity. I’ve painted schools, repaired roofs for families in need, or simply mowed the lawn for a neighbor recovering from knee surgery. Offering a helping hand just feels natural to me.

I was also a Scout leader in my hometown (Grupo Santa María in San Miguel), which taught me the value of teamwork, simplicity, and caring for the environment. I’m always mindful about waste, and I love nature — being outdoors fills me with energy. I adore trekking, climbing, horseback riding, walking barefoot on the grass, and caring for animals.

In fact, I’m a huge animal lover — in Argentina, I even had my own pet daycare! 🐾 And no matter where I go, I always seem to make new four-legged friends — they truly find me.

I have a lovely garden and an organic vegetable patch at home. I enjoy planting, growing, and working the land with patience and love. Nature has always been my refuge and inspiration.

I’ve also been practicing Kundalini Yoga for 14 years, and lately I’ve started exploring a bit of Tai Chi, which I highly recommend! It truly rejuvenates you and gives you a special kind of energy — calm, powerful, and balanced.

I speak Spanish (my native language), English quite well, some Brazilian Portuguese (after having lived there), and I’m currently learning Italian as a way of reconnecting with my roots.

I’m truly excited to live new experiences, learn from others, and give from the heart — not just with my time and energy, but with joy, presence, and care.

Mi nombre es Jesica, tengo 44 años y vivo en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Llegué a esta hermosa plataforma gracias a la recomendación de un amigo que ya lleva bastante tiempo en la comunidad de Workaway. Le conté mis ganas de viajar por Europa, pero también mi dificultad para encontrar alojamiento dentro de mi presupuesto... y me sugirió que me anime a probar esta experiencia. ¡Y aquí estoy!

Me encanta ver que hay anfitriones de todas partes del mundo ofreciendo sus hogares, tiempo y experiencias a cambio de ayuda, intercambio cultural y conexión. Me parece algo verdaderamente valioso.

Ahora les cuento un poco sobre mí:
Soy descendiente de italianos, algo que me enorgullece profundamente. Soy una persona cálida, respetuosa, amable y sencilla. Me encanta compartir momentos con otras personas, disfrutar de largas comidas, reírnos y conversar hasta que salga el sol. Soy muy familiera y valoro mucho el vínculo humano.

Algo que disfruto mucho es compartir mi tiempo libre con personas de todas las edades —creo que de cada generación tenemos muchísimo que aprender—. Ese intercambio nos enriquece profundamente y nos transforma en mejores personas.

Desde chica siento una vocación muy fuerte de servicio. Siempre hice voluntariados, no a cambio de comida o alojamiento, sino simplemente por el deseo de ayudar. Pinté escuelas, arreglé techos para familias en situaciones precarias, o le corté el pasto a un vecino que no podía hacerlo porque estaba operado de la rodilla. Dar una mano me nace del corazón.

Fui dirigente Scout en el Grupo Santa María de San Miguel, una etapa de mi vida que me marcó para siempre. Aprendí el valor del trabajo en equipo, del respeto por la naturaleza y la importancia de vivir de forma consciente, generando la menor cantidad de residuos posible.

Me encanta todo lo que tiene que ver con la vida al aire libre: hacer trekking, escalar, cabalgar, cuidar animales, caminar descalza sobre el pasto... ¡eso me conecta!
Amo profundamente a los animales —en Argentina llegué a tener mi propia guardería de mascotas 🐶🐾— y no importa dónde vaya: siempre aparecen nuevos amigos de cuatro patas. ¡Ellos me encuentran!

Tengo un jardín hermoso y una huerta orgánica en casa. Disfruto mucho de sembrar, cuidar la tierra y ver crecer lo que planto. Estar en contacto con la naturaleza me da paz, alegría y energía.

Además, practico Kundalini Yoga desde hace 14 años, y últimamente comencé a probar algo de Tai Chi, que se los súper recomiendo. Realmente te rejuvenece y te llena de una energía única: serena, poderosa y muy transformadora.

Hablo español (mi lengua materna), inglés bastante bien, algo de portugués brasileño (por haber vivido allá) y actualmente estoy aprendiendo italiano, como forma de reconectar con mis raíces.

Estoy muy ilusionada por vivir nuevas experiencias, conocer personas, aprender, ayudar y dar lo mejor de mí con alegría, presencia y mucho corazón.

I consider myself a very organised, respectful, and kind person, always willing to help. I come from a family with strong values, and I never say anything inappropriate. I have excellent references from former colleagues and employers, many of whom I’m still in touch with—and always on good terms.

At home, I take care of many domestic tasks, from cleaning to gardening. I’m also a skilled painter—the repairs and improvements in the flat where I live were all done by me. From a young age, I was taught to be independent and self-taught.

I’m a very good cook, and I also enjoy caring for animals. I always have a positive attitude and am ready to lend a hand wherever needed.

Me considero una persona muy ordenada, respetuosa, amable, muy colaborativa. Vengo de una familia con muchos valores, jamas digo nada inapropiado, tengo muy buenas referencias de ex compañeros de trabajos o jefes que siguemos en contacto y con la mejor onda. En casa me ocupo de muchos quehaceres domesticos, desde la limpieza hasta la jardineria. Tambien soy muy buena pintora, los arreglos en el departamento donde vivo los realice yo.
