Greetings, I’m James!
I’m from New Zealand, ready to embark on my next Workaway journey to further explore Europe this new year. I’m on a quest to dive into new cultures, meet inspiring people, and discover my next chapter while contributing to your projects. Whether house sitting in a cozy village, teaching kids or WOOFing on an organic farm, I’m eager to roll up my sleeves.
I bring a strong work ethic, a great sense of humor, and a love for deep conversations about life’s big ideas. I’m just as comfortable leading tasks as following instructions, thriving on rewarding work like gardening, pet care or any social work. Growing up in New Zealand’s rugged landscapes, I’m no stranger to outdoor tasks and love staying active with hiking or weight lifting. You’ll also find me reading books or exploring local gems to soak up your culture.
I am currently experiencing my first Workaway in Mallorca with amazing success. my host and I have created a really beautiful bond and I have enjoyed the variety of outdoor work and helping teach kids at the local school.
I’m excited to learn skills like organic farming or home maintenance while sharing my enthusiasm and Kiwi spirit. I’m flexible for 1-8 week stays and ready to make a positive impact. Let’s create an unforgettable exchange filled with laughter, learning, and adventure.

I bring a diverse background from New Zealand, blending hands-on physical work with professional leadership and people skills. For the past four years, I’ve worked in a gym, which I managed and part-owned for the last 2.5 years. This role honed my leadership, initiative, and organizational skills, from overseeing daily operations to coaching clients and maintaining equipment. I thrived on creating a welcoming community, a skill I’ll bring to your project.
Before that, I held various professional sales roles, sharpening my communication and adaptability, whether connecting with clients or solving problems on the fly. I’ve also dabbled in physical tasks like gardening, basic maintenance, and outdoor labor, which sparked my love for rewarding, hands-on work. I’ve also grown up with dogs and cats and love animals. While I’m new to Workaway, I’m eager to apply my energy and work ethic to tasks like organic farming, pet care, home upkeep, or anything else that looks like a good fit!
