Hi there,

I'm Iva from Slovakia.
I work as an analyst in the department of culture for the city of Bratislava. I took a three weeks off to have a bit of a different environment, preferably for a peaceful stay somewhere in the countryside. I would like to switch off from work and help with some DIY projects, cleaning or gardening.
During my studies I lived in Austria, Spain and Poland. I enjoy experiencing different cultures, cuisines, lifestyles.
In summer of 2019 I workawayed with a friend for 2 weeks, staying with a cool multicultural family in the middle of nowhere in Tuscany.

My hobbies are Pilates, roller-skating, indoor climbing, movies, psychology, books (John Steinbeck aficionado over here), music, DIY projects, travelling, sometimes cooking :D.
I try to live zero waste and eco-friendly.
I am a sociable person, but also an introvert. I like to discuss movies, books, philosophy, relationships, politics, ... but then I like to recharge by some alone time with a book, a movie, TV show or in nature.
I am the eldest of 4 siblings.
I volunteered as teacher for kids in need and as Excel teacher for an organisation whose mission is to bring IT closer to women and girls.

Data analysis (Excel, Power BI), financial analysis - my studies and work revolved around numbers, finance and datasets.
DIY, sewing, drawing, painting, writing - I enjoy art of every form and all of these are a form of relax for me at home.
Translating - English, Spanish, Slovak/Czech - completed bilingual Spanish-Slovak high school and did my university studies in English and Spanish.
Basic graphic design (e.g. posters, invitations) and social media knowledge (Facebook, Instagram) - help out my mom with her small business and that's how I learned. I also post Instagram stories as short itineraries from my travels and tips and tricks on how to live zero-waste.
