Where to start? I'm from Canada and am very excited to have the chance to escape our cold winter for somewhere warmer :) I'm a libra and an empath, and I like to think that I am pretty laid back and easy to get along with. I would consider myself an extraverted introvert, I love being around a good group of people however also like doing things on my own. I have never lived in a city and am very content living in and visiting remote places.

I am very interested in the natural world, living in harmony with nature, permaculture, intentional communities, animal care, vegetarian and vegan cooking, natural building, alternative living, photography... there's probably more but I can't think of anything else at the moment

I would love to learn more about any of the above things as well as wood working, non-commercial construction, herbalism, horsemanship and farrier work, yoga, meditation and mindfulness, spirituality, "primitive" skills, running small businesses and, if I am being truthful, probably anything else you are willing to share with me. I really love to learn from other people.

Horses are very much a central theme in my life... I currently work as a trail guide and couldn't imagine a better job. I am a competitive horseback archer and have done some low level jumping and dressage in the past. I have been riding since I was 10 years old and would consider myself competent but not a fancy rider. I am always looking to improve my riding and horsemanship :)

I also enjoy music, dancing, festivals, scuba diving, beaches and the ocean (I currently live way too far away from the ocean), animals of all kinds, reading, writing and gardening.

I have spent the past couple years living off grid or mostly off grid in a variety of interesting situations that the universe has sent in my direction. I am no stranger to "roughing it" or living simply, in fact I really love it. I don't watch much tv or many movies and don't know or want to know the latest news about the Kardashians ;) I also try to limit my time on screens and am perfectly able to live without a cell signal and wifi.

Last winter I took a PDC and natural building course and am very keen to get my hands dirty helping out with permaculture and natural building projects!

I am a hard worker with a positive attitude who loves to learn new things!

I have lots of experience working on farms with animals, from riding and trail guiding on horses to milking cows to shearing alpacas to showing goats. I am comfortable and capable of working with animals.

In recent years, I’ve been very interested in growing food and doing this using permaculture principles. I took a PDC and have a vegetable garden which I feel is a good starting point but I still need lots of practical experience and would love to learn more about this area!

I have assisted many people with building things so am familiar with the wood working/ carpentry process but again, would love the opportunity to learn more!

I studied biology in university with a focus on ecology and marine biology.

What else ...

I live to be outdoors. I try to limit my time on electronic devices (trying to write this profile has been a challenge!) and don’t have a subscription to any movie streaming services. Instead, you’ll find me enjoying down time with a book in my hammock, smiling around a campfire with friends, playing with my horses or exploring nature.

I am always down to play card and board games! Dutch Blitz is my favourite 💕
