Description
Hello! I’m Irina. If I had to describe myself in three words, it would be: Creative, Active, and Talkative. Originally from Ukraine but having spent the last five years living in Bulgaria, I carry a mix of cultures in my heart and a deep curiosity for how the rest of the world lives. I’m currently in a "traveling chapter" of my life - not just to see sights, but to find a place that feels like a future home where I can settle and grow.
By trade, I am a graphic designer and artist. This means I see the world in colors and perspectives, always looking for beauty in it. But I’m not the kind of artist who stays locked in a studio. I’m a very talkative, social person who thrives on high-energy interactions. My background is a bit of a whirlwind - I’ve done everything from fencing with a foil and air gymnastics to volleyball and bodybuilding. I love to move, and I’m definitely not afraid of a challenge.
Why I’m here:
After participating in more than five Erasmus+ projects, I realized that my favorite way to live is through social exchange. I believe that even the "boring" parts of life can be a creative project. Tired of grey mornings? Let’s take our breakfast into the woods. Feeling stressed? Let's put on some jazz, throw on some cheap face masks with cucumbers on our eyes, and just chill.
I’m searching for experiences that allow me to contribute both physically (I’m strong and active! You better not see my bicep cuz you'll get scared) and emotionally. I want to leave every place a little bit brighter than I found it.
When I’m not working you’ll probably find me:
- Painting something that I myself didn't know I could paint
- Getting lost in a book.
- Creating corporate or non-corporate graphic designs
- Writing stories or small poems
- Practicing one of the 5 languages I speak with anyone willing to chat!
I’m looking for hosts who value creativity, open communication, and a good sense of humor. Let’s make something beautiful together! -

Absolutely! I’d love to help you expand your "language bank." I am a native speaker of Ukrainian and Russian, and I use English and Bulgarian fluently on a daily basis. For the past five years, I have also been dedicated to learning German. I’m more than happy to teach these languages to others through conversation or tutoring, and I am always eager to learn new ones from my hosts to keep growing my linguistic skills. -

More details about your skills
ART
Creativity literally runs through my veins. As a professional graphic designer and painter, I have a sharp eye for aesthetics and "the soul" of a place. While I might not be painting a 3 million euro-worthy masterpiece on your garden fence, I am happy to bring beauty to your space - whether that is through artistic murals, helping with digital branding/social media, or simply doing the work of painting a room a fresh, solid color. I’m just as comfortable with small art projects as I am with a heavy-duty paintbrush.
MANUAL LABOR
I am not afraid to get my hands dirty! I spent my childhood summers in the countryside helping my family with daily crops and garden maintenance.
I also have experience in traveling and hiking (from walking a 1.5h hike to climbing a 2km high mountain).
BABYSITTING AND TUTORING
Coming from a big family, I have "big sister" energy built into my DNA. I’m very comfortable with children aged 4 and up, whether it’s simple babysitting or managing larger groups of kids. I also worked as a volunteer in a camp for Ukrainian children in Bulgaria, which gave me hands-on experience in keeping kids engaged and supported in a group setting. I have worked as a babysitter for a 3 year old child for quite some time, which gave me a better understanding of the children's world.
I’m also happy to help with the "academic" side of things. While I don’t have a professional teaching degree, I have a real knack for tutoring teenagers and explaining complex topics in a way that actually clicks - people often tell me I explain things better than their school teachers!
Languages I can teach or practice with you:
English, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, German, and Russian.
Whether your kids need help with their homework or you just want someone to practice conversational languages with over dinner, I’m your person.
COOKING
Cooking & Baking
For me, cooking is a way to bring people together and share a bit of joy. Growing up in a large family and participating in Erasmus+ projects has given me the confidence to cook for everyone, even groups of 40+ people. I love making meals that are both interesting and tasty, and I’d be thrilled to bring those delicious aromas into your kitchen.
What I can bring to your table:
- Traditional Flavors: I know a wide variety of recipes for authentic Ukrainian and Bulgarian dishes.
- Global Cuisine: I am experienced in cooking spicy Asian meals and love experimenting with different flavors.
- Baking: I’m not just about the main course; I have experience with baking and love making something sweet or fresh to share. -

What else ...
If you haven’t guessed by now, I’m a total "yapper." As an avid book reader, I’m always looking for someone to dive into long, deep talks about literature, philosophy, or those existential questions that keep you up at night. Deep conversations are my true addiction!
I’m also a big fan of board games—though I should warn you, I can get a little competitive. With big and small groups of people I have played Monopoly, Catan, Mafia, Bunker, or various card games. I’m always down to play!
Most of the time, I’ll be applying to projects alongside my boyfriend. We survived a very long journey of a long-distance relationship, and now that we’re finally together, we are so eager to explore the world as a team. We’re a very active couple, we’re always the first ones to say "yes" to a new experience! We’re both very communicative, respectful, and ready to bring a lot of positive energy to your home. -
