Currently I‘m in Germany. I’d like to spend my time in a green place, offering help where it’s needed, painting murals if you want and working on my illustrations.

Description

Hi, my name is Katja, I’m 31 and an illustrator based in Berlin.
Currently, I’m finishing my very first graphic novel about a bunch of different things such as dreams, synchronicities, self-development, magic and human connections.

At the moment it feels for me like the city is spitting me out a little bit, as if the universe wants me to leave Germany for an indefinite time. Nothing is holding me anymore in Berlin so I decided to reactivate my account here and look where life takes me next.
I’d love to spend some time in a place surrounded by nature and like-minded people where I can help with anything around the house and ideally painting murals because that’s what I might do more in the future. You’ll see my illustrations here: katjaiva.com . I might have delicate artist hands but that’s not preventing me from digging in the soil and doing real farming work.

I have a pretty much healthy lifestyle, no alcohol, little sugar.
Earlier I felt a big urge to start a revolution, to do sth against injustice in the world. Now I believe that the biggest revolution might be the expansion of our consciousness.

I love doing yoga (sounds super basic, I know :D), having long walks in nature, reading, hugging trees, photographing and attending soul/jazz jam sessions. I love music in general. There’s no specific genre I prefer, I believe there are jewels in each.

My favourite movies of all time are Lord of the Rings, Matrix and Spirited away.

I speak Ukrainian (as I am from there), Russian, German, English and I understand French and Spanish. I love painting and developing concepts for artsy things. A few years ago I finished studying Communications Design in the south of Germany, then I worked in a few graphic design agencies and finally had a strong desire to do something which is more flexible, without deadlines or a strict plan. Since 2020 I live in Berlin, since the beginning of 2022 I’m running a tattoo studio with a few friends. I would say that I’m good in finding solutions and have a good feeling for others.
