Hello! My name is Indra and I’m originally from Belgium.

I’ve always loved traveling and discovering new places, cultures, and ways of living. Over the past few years I’ve spent a lot of time living and traveling abroad, which has given me the chance to meet wonderful people and experience different ways of life.

Animals and nature are a big part of my life. I feel happiest outdoors, whether that’s hiking, swimming or simply spending time with animals. I’ve spent a lot of time around dogs, cats, and farm animals during my travels and volunteering, and being around them always brings me a lot of joy.


I would describe myself as open-minded, creative, curious, easygoing and respectful. I love spending time outside like hiking, swimming and relaxing in my hammock. Exploring new places makes me feel alive and at my happiest.
I also enjoy things like art, music, crocheting, painting and I graduated in photography and video.

I’m always happy to lend a hand where needed and enjoy being part of the rhythm of a place for a while. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, learning new skills and enjoying my time :)

My skills are varied and I think I can help with many things. If there's a task I will do anything to do it as best I can.

My native language is Dutch so if you're interested, I can always teach you. I'm also studying to become an English teacher, I'm in my second year so I'm not the most advanced teacher yet but I will do my best :)

I have quite some experience with dogs. I know how to handle and train them. I'm very patient and like working with dogs a lot. I can also handle rabbits, cats and chickens because I had them as pets but I can get along with almost any animal and learn quickly.

I majored in photography and video and also have some knowledge of video editing.

I work excellently as an individual, but can also work very well within a team. I appreciate my own space, but also find comfort within a shared space, connecting with others.

What else ...

I am starting a new job in Bulgaria in june. This means I might need some help getting stable internet. But it also means I’m often around during the day and can easily combine my work with helping around the house, caring for animals, or doing small tasks.

I have experience with many kinds of animals from previous Workaway stays and volunteering, including dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, goats, and other farm animals. I’m very comfortable caring for animals and enjoy spending time with them.

I’m a tidy and respectful guest and always try to adapt to the rhythm of the household. I’m happy to help where needed and enjoy learning new things along the way.

I usually feel most at home in quieter places close to nature, and I really enjoy the simple everyday life that comes with that.
