Hi there!
My name is Ilvie, I’m 18 years old and just graduated from school this year. Since I’m still figuring out what I’d like to study or pursue as a career, I’ve decided to take a gap year to explore the world. I'm not only looking forward to discovering new countries and different ways of life, but also to learning more about myself – my strengths, weaknesses, values and passions.
I would describe myself as a very curious, open-minded and optimistic person who loves to travel, discover new cultures and expand my horizons while learning new things and skills.
I grew up in the countryside and am used to rural life. I love being outdoors, spending time in nature and with animals. In my free time, I enjoy going for a run, doing yoga, swimming, meditating, and reading a good book. I’ve recently started getting into photography and would love to learn more about it and document my travels through the lens.
I'm interested in biology, botany and medicine, and I would really like to gain more practical insight in these areas during my travels. Gardening is something I truly enjoy, and therefore, I'm eager to improve my skills.

I already have experience working in hospitality (both kitchen and service) and in retail.
I've also helped out in a kindergarten and in holiday programs for children.
I really enjoy working with animals and being outdoors. I've helped out several times on a farm.
In addition, I’ve volunteered at an animal shelter, where I took care of the animals and assisted with general duties. I spent many years horseback riding, so I also have experience with horses.
