Description

Hello! I’m Hyeyun (Suri) from Seoul, South Korea.
I’m a writer, coach, and adventurer who loves exploring how people live, create, and connect.

After working as a psychological researcher, I became a certified life coach and now lead group and individual coaching sessions. I also write — I recently finished a picture book and run an art group that combines creativity and self-reflection.

I’m part of BIGWAVE, Korea’s youth climate network, promoting eco-friendly living and creative reuse. My focus is living beautifully and sustainably.

In August 2025, I joined a Danish folk high school to learn about sustainable, community-based living.

My first Workaway experience was in Bornholm, Denmark, during September 2025. It was a lovely small community surrounded by beautiful nature, where I led art workshops for homeschooled children using traditional Korean materials. I also organized cooking workshops, including making gimbap (Korean dish).

On days without workshops, I planned small creative activities for three children, prepared lunch, and helped keep the house tidy.

I’m a good cook. I enjoy trying out new ingredients and recreating dishes I’ve tasted in restaurants at home. Baking bread is a bit tricky for me, but I’m confident with pastry making.

I’m generally skilled with handcrafts: flower arrangement, space styling, English calligraphy, illustration, hand-bound books, photography, and filmmaking. I can handle most aesthetic tasks, such as designing leaflets or notices with my illustrations.

I’ve studied meditation steadily, and last year I earned a coaching certification; since then I’ve been running regular coaching sessions. If you’d like, I can lead meditation or coaching sessions.

Above all, I have an open mind and a sincere character, and I hope we can create meaningful time together.
