  • Description

Hi! We are Honza and Anna, a couple from the Czech Republic, in our mid-twenties.
We’re fun, practical, and curious people who love spending time in nature, learning new skills, and meeting kind people along the way. We’re hoping to return to the north, especially Finland, to spend time outdoors, help where needed, and enjoy a slower rhythm of life.

I’m Honza, and I study architecture—but I feel most at home in the mountains, forests, or quiet natural places. I like hiking, snow, and long walks away from crowds. I enjoy building things and working with my hands: I’ve built a firewood sauna in my backyard, made furniture, and taken part in carpentry workshops. I also enjoy gardening, chopping wood, and simple, physical work.

In the past, I was a scout and a summer camp leader for kids and teens, which taught me teamwork, responsibility, and that I don’t mind getting dirty. I’m calm, friendly, and try to do things with care. I like cooking (especially when I can follow a good recipe), analog photography, and time outdoors—ideally somewhere quiet and cold.

I’m Anna, and I recently finished my Master’s degree in psychology. I love working with plants, animals, and people—especially children and dogs. I’ve worked as an au pair for babies in Italy, helped guide guests in Croatia, and been a summer camp instructor. I feel comfortable taking care of others, and I enjoy keeping things around me in order.

I’m most passionate about climbing, hiking in the forest, and baking—especially good sourdough and anything pastry-related. I enjoy being outdoors in all seasons and like to have fun, but I also appreciate quiet moments. I’d say I’m calm, easygoing, and caring—someone who finds joy in simple things and likes making people (and animals) feel at home.

We both speak English and Czech (native), and we know a bit of Spanish, German, and Finnish between us. We’ve worked abroad together before and are comfortable adjusting to new routines.

We’re hardworking, adaptable, and happy to help with gardening, animal care, woodwork, cooking, or general maintenance. More than anything, we’re excited to meet new people, learn through doing, and spend a meaningful and peaceful summer helping out where we’re needed.

  • More details about your skills

I have gained a range of practical skills through hands-on experience. I enjoy working with wood and tools—I've built a small sauna, furniture, and taken part in carpentry workshops. I’m also comfortable with gardening, chopping firewood, and general outdoor tasks.

During a few summers, I worked as a camp instructor with children and teenagers, which helped me develop patience, responsibility and the ability to support others in outdoor settings. I’ve also helped in a small accommodation abroad, assisting with maintenance, simple food prep, and guiding guests.

These experiences have strengthened my ability to work independently and in a team. I am reliable, hardworking, and not afraid of physical tasks. I enjoy learning by doing, especially when it comes to practical skills or outdoor work. I value a respectful and considerate environment and am motivated to contribute in a meaningful and steady way.
