Description
Hi there! I'm Henry (23) from the Stuttgart area in Germany. After finishing my B.A. in English Studies and Economics, I’ve been drawn north by Scandinavia’s beautiful landscapes and its vibrant music culture.
I’m a passionate fencer, guitarist, and gamer with a curiosity for cultures and shared experiences. In 2018 I joined a cultural exchange program through the German Sports Youth (dsj), which took me to Japan — an experience so inspiring that I returned in 2021 to volunteer at the Fencing Paralympics.
I enjoy intellectual work, such as engaging with languages and writing articles, but am no stranger to hands-on tasks: from tech and computer setup (PC or Mac) to light repair and soldering. I speak German (native), English (C1), French (B1), and some Japanese, and I love helping others learn languages and explore their literature.
Whether through a good conversation, music, or teamwork on a project, I’m always excited to connect and contribute wherever I stay!

More details about your skills
Through my studies, I’ve gained solid experience writing many types of essays and articles, so I’m comfortable with clear, structured communication and tasks like editing, proofreading, and creating content. I’m confident using Word, PowerPoint, and general computer tools, and I’m happy to help with office work, presentations, or basic tech support. Having soldered my own guitar pedals and doing small repairs, I have also put my handiness with small electronics to the test.
I also worked at an escape room in Stuttgart for a year, where I learned to think creatively, solve problems under time pressure, and provide friendly customer service to guests. This means I’m used to working with people, staying calm, and making sure visitors feel welcome and looked after.
