Hi my names Harry, I am 33 years old and from England and am finally in a position to star my Workaway adventure.
I have been a Chef since I was 16, although I still enjoy cooking meals for friends and family, I have long since fallen out of love with working in commercial kitchens and the toll the industry takes on personal time and freedoms and hope to find a new passion through workaway by helping hosts with the variety of tasks I see people needing help with.
I love being outdoors, working with my hands and spending time with animals. Dogs specifically have a very special place in my heart and can't help but be overcome with joy when seeing and spending time dogs. I truly beleive the world would be a much nicer place if people were more like dogs. I also have a certificate for Canine first aid, a course I did to put me into a better position to get work walking and/or caring for dogs.

I have always enjoyed travelling and immersing myself in different cultures, I beleive there is so much for us all to learn from each other, and together make the world a better place through education and cooperation.
I have been trying to learn German in recent months with Duo Lingo, German TV and German music. I feel confident that I could become converstional after some immersion and the oppurtunity to speak it every day.

I owned my own vegan food business in Bristol England called Bun Fiction, where as well as serving food we put a great deal of effort into feeding the homeless and taking donations of clothes, toiletries and necesities, which we would distribute with the help of volunteers.
I also built my own stalls for the business including my original stall which was a mini bicycle trailer kitchen (pictured) which I built up from a bicycle trailer, among other stalls built. I thouroughly enjoy working with wood building and creating.

I dream of one day having my own land that I can live on and become self sustainable, and would love the oppurtunity to learn about growing food and maintaining the environment.

First and fore most I am a Chef with 17 years of experience ranging from hotels to event catering, so can help with organising and creating meals for the hosts, staff and workaway voluteers.
As you will see from my overview when i had my own business I built all my own stalls, although not a carpenter I am good with my hands and really enjoy building things and can turn my hand to most physical work.
I also have some decorating experience and am a very neat painter.
I work hard and can think logically to overcome tasks and issues which I take a lot of pride in and love to see a clean job well done.
Although I don't have much experience with animals (other than helping out for a month on a remote farm in Hiroshima prefecture Japan) I do have an affinity with them and have had dogs throughout my life and have a natural raport and overwhelming love for them.
I recently completed a canine first aid course as a first step on my journey to work with dogs and would love the experience and opportunity to care for your pets.
