Hi everyone! My name is Hannah, and I'm a 25 year old engineer/physicist from the Netherlands, who's been living in Denmark for the last couple of years. Although from that I might sound quite tech-nerdy, I'm a very enthusiastic and open person, and I've been in love with exploring different cultural traditions and locations for most of my life. I recently finished my degree, which means that I finally have the opportunity to take several months off, and go for a longer journey to discover different countries in Asia on a rather spontaneous and flexible schedule. For my previous travels I've always liked to go camping with my motorcycle, hiking through nature, or visit historical cities. I have volunteered several times before at events and festivals, but also done a lot of volunteer work for my university by organizing events and as a trainer at my sports club. I've always found volunteering to be an amazing way to meet new people and share stories, which it why I'm very excited to do so through Workaway as well. I have a rather long list of hobbies and skills that I would list here with much love, but it's probably more relevant to summarize it as: I'm very creative and handy, I learn quick, I like animals and plants, and I used to teach English and work in hospitality.

-🎓 Education: (astro) physics🔭💫 & mechanical engineering ⚙️🛠️
- Experience: I'm currently volunteering at a calligraphy art center in Mongolia🖌️. Before that I used to work next to my studies as a teacher👩‍🏫 in English, Dutch and Physics. I also have experience I running and organizing local events🗃️💻 .
-Skills: I'm quite good with working with my hands, so I'm typically the person that gets asked to fix things around the house or help move🛠️. More creatively, I paint and draw, and have done all kinds of DIY projects ranging from costumes to graphics design👩‍🎨. I am good with animals and plants: I often babysit my brother's dog & garden🌱🐶, used to have a horse🐴 and I am typically the one saving the in-house spider from my roommate 😉
-In general, I just love learning new skills, and my scientific background makes that I easily pick up new things. So whether it's gardening in the middle of nowhere, help in a hostel, or build something creative , I'm up for the challenge!
