  • Description

Guillaume, 31 year old from North West of France, where I grew up, between Nantes and Angers. After one year spent in Australia (and also New-Zealand, Japan and Vietnam), I am looking to spent a few months in Spain, to discover new things, meet people, spend time outside and learn Spanish. This last goal because I'd like to travel in Latin America someday (Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile...).

Music and food lover, I like to discover new things, activities, cities... Hiking is also something I really enjoyed in Australia and would like to enjoy it more everywhere in the world, there is so much to see! Cinema and sports are also things I like. And of course, spend time with friends, have a drink, enjoy a good meal, talk about everything and nothing.

After my studies in a business school (I have a Bachelor of Business), I did various jobs, in other domains: handler, grape picker, shipping agent. Then I found a new training as a sales assistant and worked during 7 years in 2 different companies. But by the time it became difficult to me to find interest in looking at computer screens all day long and having to stay in a office, that is why I wanted something very new and decided to go abroad for quite a long time. So, what's further away from France than Australia !?(yes New-Zealand haha). Back in France for 3 months now, at my parents' place, without a specific professional plan in my mind. I am actually working in a poultry slaughterhouse for the expedition service. I am feeling I need to go abroad again to find my way.
In Australia, I worked in a small supermarket and a liquor store (2 periods of 3 months) and in the vineyards as a grape picker. I also did a bit of gardening.

As a "traveler", here are the countries where I have already been, for most of them, 4 to 7 days: Austria (in Wien, wonderful city), Portugal (Lisbon), Spain (Barcelona and Sevilla), Italy (Napoli, Sorrento and a cruise on a sail boat we rented), Croatia (Dubrovnik, Split and again, cruise on a sail boat), Czech Republic (Praha), Germany (5 times: 3 for festivals, 1 for a school exchange in Bonn and holidays near the Konstanz Lake, Lindau), Morocco, Tunisia (twice), Greece (Athens, Ios, Paros and Santorini), Belgium (1 festival and 1 concert), England (school exchange), Mauritius and India (10 weeks in schools during my studies).

Now I would like to discover the Scandinavian countries (probably Sweden and Norway first) go in Americas for the first time (North, Central, South...) and explore more of Asia (China, Korea, Lao, Mongolia...). Big new modern cities don't tempt me (like Tokyo or Saïgon).

To "summarize" my personality, I could say I am positive, open minded, thorough (in work), looking to discover new things I could enjoy (and if not, it's still interesting!), respectful. I can both enjoy quiet periods to rest, staying alone a bit, hiking solo, do things for myself, and also enjoy spending time with people doing many things!

I like good quality/local food, try to eat as well as possible without having restrictions as I like to vary what I eat. I was thinking of becoming a baker or working in the food industry to provide good quality products to people... Still somewhere in my mind, who knows what will happen next.

Without being militant, I like to keep nature clean and do my best to recycle and use "old" things.
