Hey there!
My name is Greta and i'm from northern Germany.
Work and travel really facinates me, for me it's a little utopia. I'm a big fan of doing meaningful work. It feels much more rewarding to me to actively see the outcome of what i'm working on and knowing that i'm helping to create something acually valuable.

I love everything that revolves around self expression, and creating things. My hobbies are drawing and dance. I think it's important for me to keep myself busy, although i also enjoy dozing in the sun of course 🌞

I love doing creative projects, so if you have any unfinished projects or empty walls in your house or garden id be happy to help out!

I enjoy being around children (i grew up with 5 siblings myself) and im happy to help with babysitting or keeping company.

Other than that i enjoy gardening, cooking, hose care, simple sewing with sewing machine or by hand (for example fixing clothes), DIYing and animal care.

I'm always happy to learn new things!

Greta was absolutely brilliant, and we could not have asked for a better Workawayer.

From the moment she arrived, she was easy-going, friendly and completely comfortable to have around. She has a lovely combination of being independent and self-motivated while also being genuinely sociable and interested in the people and environment around her. … read more She never needed constant direction or supervision. Once she understood what needed doing, she simply got on with it.

The quality of her work was excellent. Greta is conscientious and meticulous, and she clearly cares about doing a job properly rather than simply getting it finished. She learns quickly, takes instructions well, and is also very good at using her own initiative. She was happy to tackle different types of work and approached everything with the same positive attitude, whether it was practical work, maintenance, gardening or the many small jobs that inevitably come with looking after a property like ours.

What really stood out, though, was her attitude. Greta is extremely easy to live with. She is undemanding, respectful of the space around her and very considerate, but at the same time she brings plenty of energy and personality to the household. We had lots of laughs together and really enjoyed our conversations. She is intelligent, curious and witty, and it was genuinely interesting talking with her about all sorts of things.

She also made the effort to experience the place rather than simply treating it as somewhere to stay. She was interested in the mountain, the landscape and the way of life here, and seemed to really appreciate the opportunity to explore and experience the area. That makes a big difference to us, because the whole point of our Workaway experience is about sharing this beautiful and rather unusual environment, not simply exchanging accommodation for a few hours of work.

Greta fitted into our household exceptionally well. She was trustworthy, responsible and mature, and we always felt completely comfortable leaving her to get on with things independently. She was also great company when we were together.

In short, Greta is exactly the sort of Workawayer you hope will arrive. She works hard, works carefully, learns quickly, uses her initiative, is respectful and responsible, and is also a genuinely lovely person to spend time with.

We would happily welcome her back at any time. Any host who has the opportunity to have Greta stay with them should take it — she is an exceptional Workawayer and we recommend her without hesitation.
