Hello,

I am Gianna, and I'm filled with gratitude to say I've been backpacking for over two years now!

I am a solo traveler who loves meeting new people and making new connections. I'm an extroverted person and love learning about other people's cultures and what brings them joy. I think sharing one's culture and life experiences is beautiful, and I am grateful to learn and listen with an open mind respectfully. I am an explorer by nature and rarely shy away from a challenge! Currently, I'm in Mexico learning Spanish, and I want to learn as much as possible about the local/indigenous culture. Everything I've seen so far fills me with excitement, and I can't wait to learn more.

I am a firm believer in honesty and genuine communication; I will always listen, and I take constructive feedback exceptionally well. I love learning new skills and enjoy anything outdoors.

I grew up in a large family in the US and have been cooking and baking since I was a small child. I have baked for different cafes, supplying all kinds of sweet treats. I am a firm believer that food is a universal way to bring people together and make new connections. Who doesn't love a good meal prepared with care and love? I believe in quality over quantity, and I love to garden so that all my ingredients are as fresh as possible. I love working with my hands, including carpentry, welding, horticulture, general repairs, and pottery.

I am tenacious and not scared of failure; after all, the first step to learning any new skill is to fail and therefore learn. I am a great listener and I learn fast, completing tasks efficiently and to the best of my abilities. I want to learn what makes life worth living for people all across the world, lending a helping hand along the way! My goal as a traveler is to give more than I take and leave things in better condition than I found them. If you love learning, traveling, and meeting new people, we should be friends.

- I am from a large family and love children. I have always helped take care of my little nieces and nephews; I spent a year nannying for two young boys and have an in-depth knowledge of childcare.
- I love carpentry and wielding; I designed and built my dining room table and chairs with a steel frame and oak top. I'm always interested in new building projects and further developing those skills.
- I am a plant person through in through. I grew up working in the garden with my siblings planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting. I love finding plants that grow well together and cultivating a thriving garden. Truly nothing is better than garden fresh produce. I now care for over 50 plants in my apartment.
- I have been cooking since I was a very small child, and to this day I enjoy cooking and baking. I am very interested in learning how to cook food from other cultures and picking up new techniques. I have worked in several restaurants in the U.S. and love recipe development. I believe good food brings people together and is exponentially powerful.
- I have worked in customer service since I was fourteen and have exceptional interpersonal skills. Through my time in the service industry, I have developed a strong work ethic and am fast and efficient. I can communicate clearly and learn new skills quickly.
- I am a thorough cleaner and keep my space and shared spaces tidy. I am a firm believer that a clean space is a clean mind so I keep things neat and organized.

I am very interested in the cultural exchange aspect of this platform and would love to learn more about other cultures from locals. What does a good, happy life look like for you? I am a great listener and I love to hear about other people's life experiences and how that is different all across the world. At the end of the day, I believe we are all people deserving of kindness and looking for happiness.
