We’re travelling across South America, searching for long-term adventures and projects.

Description

We are a couple who have been traveling through South America since October. We decided to leave our jobs in Italy (language teacher and environmental consultant) to embark on this adventure. Through Workaway, we hope to develop new skills related to environmental projects and the practical management of eco-lodges, farms, or community-based initiatives.
What truly inspires us is nature—living close to it and learning from it.
We are interested in getting to know the Indigenous communities of the Amazon regions, because our journey is also one of personal and spiritual discovery, and we know there is much to learn from these cultures.
Through Workaway, we hope to work seriously and contribute to meaningful projects, meet people who share our passions, share what we know and learn something new, and also simply spend time together relaxing and working side by side.

Somos una pareja que desde octubre está viajando por Sudamérica. Decidimos dejar nuestros trabajos en Italia (profesora de idiomas y consultor ambiental) para lanzarnos a esta aventura. A través de Workaway esperamos desarrollar nuevas habilidades relacionadas con proyectos ambientales y con la gestión práctica de eco-albergues, fincas o iniciativas comunitarias.
Lo que realmente nos apasiona es la naturaleza: vivir en contacto con ella y aprender de ella.
Nos interesa conocer mejor a las comunidades indígenas de las zonas amazónicas, porque nuestro viaje es también uno de descubrimiento personal y espiritual, y sabemos que se puede aprender mucho de estas culturas.
A través de Workaway esperamos trabajar seriamente y contribuir a proyectos significativos, conocer personas que compartan nuestras pasiones, transmitir lo que sabemos y aprender algo nuevo, pero también simplemente pasar tiempo juntos, relajándonos y trabajando en compañía.

Hi! I’m Giacomo, I have a degree in Environmental Science and for the past four years I’ve been working in the renewable energy sector. Since I was a child, I’ve always been passionate about the environment and nature. In recent years, I’ve also started learning the basics of agriculture because my long-term goal is to open my own agriturismo. For this reason, I’m looking to improve and expand my skills in animal care, farming, and basic carpentry.
I speak Italian and English fluently. I also understand Spanish very well and I’m working on improving my speaking skills.
I’m passionate about history and art, and I enjoy painting (even if I'm not very good at it :D).

Hi! I’m Claudia. I have a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures (French, English, Spanish and Portuguese) and I teach French in middle and high schools. I chose languages because I love traveling, and for me the ability to understand others and communicate effectively is essential.
I love moving my body, practicing yoga, and dancing of all kinds.

Hola! Soy Giacomo. Soy licenciado en Ciencias Ambientales y desde hace cuatro años trabajo en el sector de las energías renovables. Desde pequeño siempre he sido muy apasionado por el medio ambiente y la naturaleza. En los últimos años también he empezado a aprender las bases de la agricultura, ya que mi objetivo a largo plazo es abrir mi propio agriturismo. Por eso busco mejorar y ampliar mis habilidades en el cuidado de animales, la agricultura y la carpintería básica.
Hablo italiano e inglés con fluidez. También entiendo muy bien el español y quiero mejorar mi expresión oral.
Me apasionan la historia y el arte, y me gusta pintar (aunque no sea muy bueno :D).
