Description
I’m currently travelling through Central America after spending the last five years working in renewable energy in the UK, developing solar and battery projects.
I studied Economics and went straight into my career, but I’d always wanted to take some time to travel and experience new countries and cultures. Now finally doing it…! This also provides me with the perfect opportunity to get involved in more hands-on environmental or community projects, while being able to practice my Spanish skills.
In my job I worked on developing projects and leading community engagement initiatives, so I’m used to responsibility and organising things. But I’m also very happy doing practical work — gardening, painting, maintenance, helping with events, hospitality, or whatever needs doing.
Outside of work I’m really into music (I DJ and run events back in the UK), snowboarding, surfing (still learning but trying to get better), snowboarding and art.
As part of this trip I also spent 7 months in New Zealand managing a bar during the ski season, so I’m comfortable working in busy, social environments.
I’ve been learning Spanish for the last 18 months, so improving my proficiency is another big goal of this trip.
Easygoing, reliable and keen to get involved and contribute where I can!

More details about your skills
My professional background is in renewable energy project development (solar and battery storage), where I worked for five years in the UK. This involved project management, problem solving, coordinating teams and leading community engagement initiatives.
I’m organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility, but I’m equally happy doing practical hands-on work.
I can help with things like:
- Gardening and general outdoor work
- Painting, DIY and basic maintenance
- Event organisation and music/DJing
- Hospitality (I previously managed a bar in New Zealand for 7 months)
- Social media or creative content if useful
- Helping organise activities or community events
I’m adaptable and quick to learn new things. I’m also currently learning Spanish and practicing while travelling.
