Description

Hi, I'm Gaia, I'm 24 year old and I'm from Italy. I recently graduated in Sociology and before taking my next step in the academic world, I decided to take some time for myself to improve my English and step out of my comfort zone. I feel the need to move away from home for a while, discover new realities and meet people from different backgrounds. One thing that's really important to me is finding a place where I can practice and improve my English, I'm at an intermediate level and I want to improve, talking and living the language for real. I have always balanced work and study at the same time, so I'm not afraid of hard work or rolling up my sleeves. I'm reliable, motivated and a quick learner.
I'm not looking for anything specific, I'm open-minded and ready to get involved in whatever is needed. What matters most to me is living a meaningful experience and giving my best every day.
I'm available for the summer months, June, July and August, so up to 3 months.

I have always worked in customer-facing roles, mainly in bars and cinemas, so I'm comfortable dealing with people, handling busy environments and staying friendly under pressure.
I have experience with children and I enjoy working with them.
I'm also a decent cook and happy to help in the kitchen whenever needed.
I love dogs, I've never had one but I've done dog sitting plenty of times!
I hold a valid driving licence.
I'm familiar with social media and can help with content creation, photography or managing accounts if that's ever helpful to the host.
As for languages: Italian is my mother tongue, my English is intermediate and improving, and I have a basic knowledge of German.

What else ...

In my free time I love playing volleyball. I've been playing for years and I'm always up for a game! I also enjoy baking, there's something really satisfying about making something delicious from scratch.
Growing up, my family always spent time at the sea and I've always loved it, but lately I've been discovering the mountains and I find them more and more fascinating. I enjoy being around people and I love both outdoor activities and board games, they are a wonderful way to get to know each other. I love a good healthy competition :)
