Description
We are Frieda and Kathie, two backpackers who have been traveling through the of Eastern Europe for the past month. After visiting many cities and usually staying only for a few days, we are now longing to stay in one place for a longer time in order to build deeper connections with local people and other travelers, and to gain a more authentic and meaningful understanding of the culture and the language.
Before starting our Workaway, we will spend three weeks in Naples taking an Italian language course, and we are very excited to continue practicing and improving our Italian with locals.
In the past, we have experienced how beautiful it can be to stay with a host family, because it makes it so much easier to truly get to know each other and to become part of everyday life. We are also two people who deeply enjoy the calmness of nature and who are happy to help wherever we can – maybe even by bringing new and fresh ideas.
While discovering new places and meeting new people, we also hope to get to know ourselves a little better along the way.

More details about your skills
We are two motivated and open-minded people who enjoy learning new skills and working with others. Both of us are fluent in English and German, which is our mother language, and one of us also speaks French fluently. In addition, we are currently learning the basics of Italian and are excited to continue improving our language skills.
We both play the piano, and one of us also plays the violin. Besides music, we enjoy creative activities such as painting and photography.
We also love spending time in the kitchen. Cooking and baking are hobbies we truly enjoy. Working and playing with children is something we both find very rewarding, and we are also great animal lovers.
Although we both grew up in a big city, we are very interested in gardening and outdoor work. While we are still developing our skills in this area, we are eager to learn more and gain practical experience.
In general, we enjoy interacting and cooperating with other people. We are open to new experiences, curious to learn new things, and motivated to contribute positively wherever we go.
