Description

Hey ! We are Flavie & Brice, a young couple from France.
We lived for few years in Paris but now it’s time to move. But first we want to travel !
So 2026 is a new chapter for us and we hope starting it with new experiences and meetings. And for this what’s best than workaway ? :)

Japan will be our first expedition in Asia and we are very excited to discover new cultures and horizons.
It’s important for us to make a slow travel, as much as possible : responsible transport and low consummation.
Among that, we also want to experiment the real living in Japan, not like tourists, so that’s why we use WorkAway : discovering the country by living and working with local people.

I'm Flavie, I'm 34.
My family and friends say that I’m a volunteer person, curious and creative.
 I’m really optimistic and I love to try new things and discover new cultures. I studied one year in Quebec. It was my first long experience of trip and change of scenery.
Three years ago, I went to Norway alone for a month and it was wonderful.

 I really like manual activities : ceramics, weaving and the creation of jewelry (I love so much beads). 
I’m in love with art in general !

My parents love gardening and I grew up in the countryside surrounded by nature near the ocean (so I love seafood and the beauty of shells). 
I’m amazed by plants in all its diversity and richness. 


For 10 years, I’m line producer for film and TV production. This job often gave me the opportunity to travel (Toronto, Barcelone, New-York, Copenhague...). And teaches me how to adapt to many situations and consider people’s needs around me.

Im Brice, Im 32, and very excited to discover this country ! I’m a cook since 7 years and actually work as a chef in a Parisian restaurant. Cooking is for me a real playfield, of experiments and infinite discovering.
Eating is a great thing, but the moment and the place where people are getting reunited around tasty dishes is for me much more important. That’s why I love cooking for others, and share with them.
I’m a very curious and open minded personne. My friends and colleagues say that I’m calm but dynamic. I’m not very talkative but it doesn’t mean I’m shy. I am very friendly and implicated when it’s time to share, laugh and discover.
I've been travelling for 8 months through Finland and Norway, working in many places thanks to WorkAway, meeting so many locals and I really loved travelling like this.
I love cooking obviously, but I know that there is still so much to discover and learn about everything. I also love working outside with my hands. Learning building and gardening skills is a real goal for me. I can also help with computer and digital works.
I have two nephews so I can help with child care and have good moments with them !
(For your information, I have a tattoo on my right front arm and I'm conscious that its an important detail for your culture, so if you prefer I can manage to cover it with specific clothes. This tattoo represents a composition of plants and flowers that I appreciate for many reason : cooking, memories...)

We both share strong values in our lifestyle:
- Responsible consumption (we live in a small and modest place but rich by the experiences we have there : friends, culture, cooking, creative works, sports…)
- Curious about many things (culture, people and their environment, music, cooking, social subjects…), and funny (we share a lot together and love having fun in every things we do in our lives)
- In love with nature : we both grew up surrounded by nature, we have an humble and respectful connexion with the ground and all the life coming out of it. We both discovered cooking with simple and quality products from the ground of our gardens, and from the cooking of our family. We can eat everything (we don’t have any specific diet)
- Handy and creative minds - we enjoy more create than consume. We enjoy learning how things work and how we can use our hands to make and create.
- Taking care of our health, staying in shape and mobile. We are in good physical conditions and are used to hardworking.
- We love animals, without any distinction, taking care and live with them. We have an adorable three coloured cat named Peanut !

To meet you and see the way you live is one of the reason we want to travel in Japan. We have so much to learn from locals (mores, cultures..) all around the country. So we would be very pleased to join and help you with your life/work projects. We’re sure that we have so much to bring each other, regardless of the time we will be reunited.
