  • Description

    Hello there!
I am Eva, a 25 year old Greek girl, currently trying to figure out life in Zurich, Switzerland.
A few words about me, until recently I did a 9-5 office job, but I turns out it was not the best match for me. So I decided to take some time off, take care of myself and redefine my priorities.
I adore and Ι get inspired by humans living loudly, silly and freely, embracing themselves and chasing their passions fearlessly.
I am a spiritual person, I believe in the power of communities. I chase sunsets, sunrises and good vibes.
I enjoy trying out new things, especially if that means I start from 0 and will probably suck at them. I love being humbled and face challenges that push me out of my comfort zone, force me to look silly and outgrow the social construct of performance anxiety. Always learning, always growing, always with *meraki.
I am a creative person, love arts and crafts. Anything I can create myself, from customized tote bags and handmade clay mugs, to refurbishing coffee tables or experimenting with jewellery making, I make it my hobby.
I also love activities in nature, like hikes, camping, or mushroom picking! Walking barefoot on the sand is one of my favourite feelings, together with the smell of grass after the rain, and the sound of "tzitzikia" (cicadas) on a warm afternoon.
Lastly, since during my childhood and teenage years my options of sports were limited, as an adult I like to try new activities and approach them with childlike curiosity. I am everyone's plus one, joining anything from salsa classes, tennis, pilates, yoga, bouldering, kitesurfing, surfing, sailing, karate, you name it!
This is my first time trying out workaway, and I am very excited to find a motivating project where I can try out something new, and meet lovely people from all over the world.

*meraki: the act of putting your soul, creativity, or love into something you do, whether it's a job, a hobby, or any other endeavor. It signifies doing a task with deep passion and devotion, leaving a piece of yourself in your work to give it personal meaning and value.
