Description
I am a 29-year-old from Northern Italy, currently working for a humanitarian NGO in the Sahrawi refugee camps in the Algerian desert.
This is my first time using Workaway. I wanted to have a different kind of experience and try a new way of travelling that allows me to connect more deeply with the places I visit. I hope to meet interesting people, learn from them and discover new ways of living. I am open to trying new experiences and developing new skills, and I would especially enjoy spending time outdoors, preferably in a beautiful natural environment.
In the past, I volunteered with refugees, especially children and teenagers, in Italy, Greece and Lebanon, organising educational and recreational activities. I then spent a year in Rwanda volunteering at a school for children with intellectual disabilities. Later, I worked for a year in Côte d’Ivoire, and I am currently based in southern Algeria. -
