Description
Hello, my name is Emily
I am so happy to be here!
This year, I am taking a gap year because I loved my studies but needed to step away from them to discover other things, the diveristy of the world, of the people around me, and those a little further away too.
During the first part of this year, I worked, which taught me a lot, and I loved the experience. Then, I will start traveling in January 2026.
For me, traveling means discovering new people, new landscapes, and having wonderful experiences. To be honest, I don't really care about the destination. What seems important to me is the people I will meet and the experiences I will have, which is why I decided to travel as a volunteer.
Otherwise, I get excited by reading, stitching, looking at art, making art, good food, dance, casual football, hiking optimism and creativity ( (I'm naturally curious, so I actually enjoy pretty much everything)) ... I am a quite reserved person but love conversation.

More details about your skills
->I'm currently working as a care-assistant for people with disabilities (both mental and physical). Through this experience, I have learned how to care for people, communicate differently when people cannot express themselves with words, and be very organized and efficient.
-> I have organized and supervised outings (ice skating, tree climbing, Europa-Park, bowling, etc.) for groups of teenagers.
-> I learned English at school, then by befriending English speakers, that allowed me to improve my language skills. I would like to do the same and teach you a little French.
-> I can do household chores and I love cooking (both savory and sweet dishes) :)
-> I can drive
-> I am a crafty person and I love art, so I dabble in a little bit of everything (pottery, linocut, painting, drawing, furniture repair, sewing, embroidery, etc.). I learn a lot from YouTube and other social media.
-> I know a little about ecology, as I am very interested in it and have participated in environmental initiatives. I have always done a little gardening, but I honestly don't know much about it. I would like to learn more, especially about permaculture.
