Hi! I'm Emilia, I'm 18 years old, I currently live in a town not far from London but I'm from Poland. I recently finished sixth form college (high school) and I'm taking a gap year before moving on to studying forestry at university. During this gap year I'm eager to solo travel somewhere far from home in search of adventure, lifelong experiences, reconecting with nature, learning new skills and meeting new people. I'm completely new to Workaway and excited to start this journey.

I have traveled a fair amount around Europe and I'm always open to visiting new places; at the moment I'm most interested in visiting Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Germany Austria, and Slovenia during the autumn and winter time, as I wculture in these places as well as the see all the beautiful landscapes these destinations have to offer. I love nature, animals and hiking so I would love to stay on a farm, work outdoors and experince life in the wilderness, near mountains and forests.

I'm a very hardworking person whose not afraid of manual work. I'm a very fast learner and am keen to do any job enthusiastically. I'm confident that I'll be of great help with any task as I have lots of experience with diy projects around the house as well as gardening. On my trip I'm also hoping for an opportunity for some great photography as it is hobby I'm very passionate about, but also larning new skills like horseriding, carpentry, farmwork and beekeeping.

Overall, I'm interested in connecting with nature, learning new skills (i.e. carpentry, self-sustainability), hiking, fishing, living off-grid, horseriding, diy projects and gardening.

I have pleanty of interets and hobbies which match up with my skills. I'm a really crafty and creative person who loves arts and diys, so I have various skills within that field. My other interests include reading, photography and world geography and I enjoy painting and the arts. I really also love to cook for my family and try out new recipes. I have plenty of experience with gardening and small building projects from helping out on my family allotment and around the house, all year round. As for languages I am fluent in both English and Polish, and recently spent a couple of years self-teching myself a few other languages.
