My name is Ellen, I’m 26 years old from Sweden. I am a calm, positive and independent person who loves spending time in nature and with animals, especially horses. I'm looking for an opportunity to contribute to a farm surrounded by nature, where I can learn new skills and help out in any way I can! I'm hardworking and enjoy hands-on tasks. I want, in a way, to disconnect a bit from todays technological society.

I have been around horses for most of my life. In 2019, I started working at a stable that was a combination of a riding school, showjumping facility, and private boarding stable. My work mainly involved taking care of the horses, handling general maintenance around the farmyard, and fixing things as needed. I also managed their website.

After working there full-time for two years, I started university, pursuing a master’s degree in chemical engineering. I continued working weekends and summers at the stable alongside my studies.

Last summer (2025) did I volunteer at 2 different places in Canada and had a great time. So, with summer upon us am I looking for new volunteering possibilities, this time somewhere around Europe, a bit closer to home.

Additionally, I’ve been fortunate to grow up with relatives who own small farms, where I’ve helped out wherever needed.
