  • Description

Hello! I’m a 28-year-old woman from England, about to embark on my first solo adventure to South America, and I’m excited for the new challenges and experiences that await me! I’m passionate about travel and can’t wait to immerse myself in different cultures.

In my free time, I love being outdoors, especially gardening, dog walking, and camping—these activities bring me so much happiness, particularly on sunny days when I can enjoy them with friends and family.

I'm passionate about fitness and stay active by regularly going to the gym, playing netball, and swimming. While I can't do them as often, I also love horse riding and skiing/snowboarding.

Over the past few years, I’ve started dog-sitting in my local area, which has been a fulfilling experience, allowing me to spend time with animals I adore while exploring new places within my home county.

For me, happiness can be as simple as enjoying a cozy movie night with a loved one, working on some embroidery in the garden, or sharing a meal with a good friend.

  • More details about your skills

I’m a self-taught gardener with experience growing courgettes, tomatoes, potatoes, and carrots in a raised planter that I built from discarded wood and filled with scavenged organic matter. My love for gardening has given me a deep appreciation for patience, sustainability and resourcefulness.

I also enjoy horse riding and have a strong connection with animals, which is why I love dog sitting in my local area. My passion for animals extends into all areas of my life, and I take great joy in caring for them.

In the kitchen, I’m an avid baker (my speciality is chocolate brownies) and cook, primarily following a vegetarian diet but also eating fish and chicken. I love experimenting with new recipes and enjoy the process of cooking from scratch.

I’m always eager to learn new things and pick up new skills quickly. I’m also resourceful when it comes to mending clothes, often opting for second-hand items.

I’m a creative person who enjoys activities like embroidery, redecorating, and various arts and crafts. I love making personalized birthday cards and scrapbooks for friends and family.

I have previous experience working in hospitality, including roles within the pub/restaurant sector and an 8-month stint at a hotel in the French Alps. I take pride in my keen attention to detail and find great satisfaction in cleaning and presenting spaces to a high standard.

  • What else ...

I’m someone who loves reading books, traveling, and meeting new people to experience different cultures. I enjoy the excitement of discovering new places and immersing myself in unique environments. I’m also a fan of board and card games, and I have a bit of competitive streak.

As I embark on my first solo adventure, I’m filled with excitement, though it’s definitely a little daunting too! But I’m ready to take on this new chapter and embrace all the experiences and challenges it brings.

I believe my past work and personal experiences have equipped me with valuable skills that make me a great fit for a Workaway. I’m really excited for the new challenges and adventures that lie ahead!
