Hello!
We are Eliška and Petr, a couple from the Czech Republic who love traveling, nature, and meaningful work. We are currently looking for an opportunity to live and work abroad in different countries for around 3-6 months starting in September 2026. Our dream is to experience life in Iceland, Norway, Sweden, or Finland, learn about the local culture, and become part of a community while helping with practical work.

We both speak fluent English, Czech (our native language), and Eliška also speaks Italian at B2 level. We both have driver’s licenses and are comfortable living and working in rural environments.

Eliška will finish her Bachelor’s degree in Italian Language and Literature at Masaryk University in Brno this June. She already has international experience – after finishing high school she spent a year in London working as an au pair, which helped her develop independence, responsibility, and communication skills.

She enjoys working with people and children, has experience as an English tutor, summer camp leader, and lifeguard, and she is very creative and musical – she plays several instruments and enjoys composing music.

On the other hand I currently work as an IT technician, and I have recently started my own IT company, but I also really enjoy practical and manual work. In my free time I have done and enjoy doing many DIY projects, including woodworking, small construction projects, working with concrete/plastering, basic repairs, and general house or outdoor maintenance. I like learning new practical skills and I’m always happy to help with building, fixing, gardening, or any other physical work.

We both prefer active and hands-on work, especially outdoors. Our hobbies include bouldering, hiking, climbing, and exploring nature. We enjoy challenges and aren’t afraid of hard work.

We are also working on building our own small business together, so we’re used to being responsible, proactive, and organized.

Ideally, we are looking for a place where we can help with practical tasks, maintenance, gardening, renovation, outdoor work, or general help around the house or property. We would also be happy to help with technology, computers, websites, or digital tasks if needed. If there are opportunities for additional paid work during our stay, we would also be very happy to help with that.

We are friendly, open-minded, reliable, and easy to live with. For us, Workaway is not just about traveling — we want to contribute, learn new things, and create genuine connections with the people we meet.

We are excited to experience a new country, share our skills, and become part of your daily life and projects.
