Description

I am in the “sell all my possessions, focus on my emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and serve a cause greater than myself” phase of life. My goal since 2015 has been to learn how to become self-sustaining, so that in the future I could own my own land, take care of my family, and perhaps create an NGO that could take in people down on their luck, teach them how to be sustainable, and launch them on their way to do it for themselves.

In 2017, I traveled to Peru for a month to work with native shamans, and emotionally and spiritually healed a great deal that would help guide me to this path. However, it was not until the COVID era that I was able to have a good taste of it. I learned some basic carpentry skills, converted an old 1964 trailer for habitation, designed and built everything I needed to successfully teach myself chicken husbandry, and started learning about gardening practices, composting methods, water collection systems, and solar generation. Sadly, it did not last.

The world threw me up, down, backwards, and sideways, and I eventually found myself back in the Amazon jungle, learning and healing more from the shamans. In a domino effect of cosmically led events, I found myself within a very similar NGO in alignment with my future aspirations. An opportunity knocked, and I decided to open the door. Since then, I have spent most of the year learning agroforestry and soil regeneration methods from natives here in the Amazon rainforest. By nature, I am an artist and a gamer, and have started designing a board game to teach such practices, in hopes to raise money, knowledge, and awareness to benefit the people and ecosystems here in the Amazon that has brought me such healing.

My stay at my current location is coming to a satisfying conclusion, and it is time for me to move onward to the next great adventure. I aim to continue my learning journey of how to become self-sustaining while working on my game and being in service to my fellow man, nature, and the world as a whole.

I am looking to improve my Spanish, and would love to exchange with people who would also like to learn English. I love immersing myself in new cultures, and learning how to live in community. I would love to continue learning techniques for plant cultivation, composting, and reforestation techniques. I have some experience in construction and carpentry, I am a fast learner and love creating and building things. I am extremely good with animals, and learning how to care for furry friends would be an added bonus. I am an artist and love everything from drawing to painting to crafting, and beautifying a space would be a dream!
