Hello, I am 24 years old. I have just finished my MSc in Anthropology so I hold a huge interest in people. I spend most of my free time hiking, mountain biking and climbing. I love the outdoors and love being in rural, disconnected places.
In general, I love talking and interacting with people and experiencing new things and cultures, but I also value being alone and being in the quiet.
I hold Buddhist beliefs, stemming from my Japanese Mother and I try to always see the beauty of life, existence and the world!

I have experience as an ethnographic researcher where I spent time researching and interviewing people about folklore and traditional stories to understand how these stories help people understand and respect the environments and nature in which they live.
I also have experience as a forester from when I worked in Japan as a campsite manager/forester. I am able to fell trees (only when it is necessary), process them into either firewood or lumber. I also have experience maintaining hiking trails - mending fences, laying concrete and more.
I also have experience as an apprentice to a Japanese pottery maker - I would spend the time sweeping leaves, chopping logs, gardening and more - all in very rural places in Japan.
I am also a passionate (but amateur) gardener - at home I help with planting fruit and veg and harvesting them. I also have experience maintaining gardens through landscaping.

I also play the piano, trumpet and a little guitar.

I am first aid trained and have completed training for water safety and water rescue.

I am an optimistic, relaxed and hard working person looking for adventure and meaning!

I am open and willing to do/try anything. I am looking for experience living in rural areas and finding ways to support myself doing so.
As I have said, I love hiking, mountain biking, climbing, camping, kayaking and many more outdoor activities.
I love music - playing and listening.
I like solitude and the quiet - preferring to not be in cities but value the company of like-minded people.
I also love animals - cats, dogs, farm animals and more.
I enjoy stories - old or new.
