Description
Hello
My name is Dylan, I am a backpacker from England on my 2nd year WHV in Australia. In 2023 I came to Australia for the first time on my 1st year WHV and stayed for 6 months. During that time I worked on a farm I found through WorkAway, met some amazing people then traveled up the east coast with a friend I met whilst working on the farm. I had one of the best times of my life and now I have returned to this beautiful land to spend a full year working and traveling.
For the last month I have been volunteering on a beautiful farm with wonderful people. I have been helping with gardening, landscaping, as well as collecting and chopping enough fire wood to last the winter. I have loved being surrounded by nature and community, and now its time for me to chase the sun north.
I am a very social person and enjoy physical work, I like to have something to do with my day. I love animals of all kinds and have always lived with pets. Cats are the animal I share the most spirit with. Iv spent the last year living with two wonderful dogs, and Iv always loved birds, especially owls.
I'm sure my friends would describe me as warm, friendly, and funny with plenty of social energy as well as a calm presence in moments of stillness. To me I value kindness above all else. I am also a creative soul. I have had many creative outlets over the years including videography, photography, music, and painting, but it is writing that brings me the most joy.
In my professional life I have experience in may jobs, from working in TV to making cider. In Australia I have lived and worked on a farm where I harvested and packaged fresh produce, fed chickens and collected eggs, organized and prepared for weekend markets, and drove trackers for various tasks on the farm. Whilst making cider in England I worked with large industrial machinery, operated front loader JCBs, and operated forklifts with a large warehouse. Iv also worked as a TV camera man filming sports events, a activity leader and tour guide at a language school, a postman for Royal Mail, and a professional D&D Game Master at evening events I started with a friend of mine.
In the next year here in Australia I hope to work, explore, camp and go to many festivals. I hope to do lots of surfing and improve my skills, see many amazing and beautiful animals, witness incredible locations and landscapes, and meet some wonderful people.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read my profile.

I am Phsycaly fit and strong. I'm happy doing any heavy lifting or building work. Recently I have been gardening, making compost, landscaping, and creating a sloped garden bed for hanging rosemary. I have also been collecting and chopping enough Red Gum to last my current hosts through winter.
I love animals. I get on very well with all kinds of animals. I find that animals trust me quickly and I have become best friends with every cat and dog that I have ever met.
