Hi! My name is Diego :)
I'm a young man who loves exploring new places, enjoying nature, and learning about different cultures. In my free time, I spend a lot of time hiking, fishing, taking photographs, birdwatching, climbing, reading, and writing about philosophy. I have worked as a vegetation mapper, and I have been involved in international projects related to volcanism and vegetation. At the moment, I have just finished my job because I would like to find an opportunity to help other people develop their projects while learning about their way of life.
I consider myself a responsible, committed, and friendly person. I believe I have many useful skills, but if I don't have a particular skill that is required, I'll do my best to learn it quickly. I come from a family of gardeners, and I have worked alongside them for many years, so I'm experienced in gardening and outdoor work. At the same time, I have been living on my own since I was 18, so I'm used to taking care of all the usual household chores.
More recently, I have been working on a traditionally run farm in Norway, where I have learned various techniques for harvesting grass from hay meadows, cleaned sheep barns, and carried out other tasks related to farm maintenance and animal care.
As an environmental scientist, I am committed to living sustainably and caring for the environment. Last year, I travelled to Costa Rica to volunteer at a private nature reserve. After that, I visited a national park where I have been carrying out research projects since 2020.
My main goals during this adventure are to improve my English, learn about different cultures and ways of life, and enjoy a simple lifestyle surrounded by nature. Above all, I hope to be a helpful volunteer and support my hosts with their daily tasks. -
