Description
Kia ora!
My name is Amandine and I will arrive in New Zealand in September with a Working Holiday Visa.
I'm from France, more precisely from Brest, in Brittany.
This is my first experience of travelling alone, at 29 years old. I am going on this adventure because I want to have a great and enriching experience, discover the local cultures and their stories, and get used to a new way of life. I also want to improve my English ;)
I already have some experience of living with other people and doing woofing in France, and I am really looking forward to discovering new activities, learning new things and sharing nice moments with everyone! I love cooking for groups, sharing simple and relaxing moments (movies, music...) and taking care of the people around me.
I also enjoy discovering new places and cities by walking, and of course hiking in nature. As I am from Brest, I am especially attracted to the sea and harbours, even though I don't have much experience with sailing or other water activities.
I would like to find my first woofing experience from September 26th, around Auckland, ideally for two or three weeks. My goal is to take some time to discover my new environment, get used to my new life and have a first real experience with my hosts.
Feel free to contact me and ask me any questions. I am open, curious and happy to learn! :)
By the way, I had a little help from a bilingual friend to write this message in English, so I hope you don't mind! 😄 My English is not perfect, but I am very motivated to improve it during my time in New Zealand!
I am looking forward to meeting you and sharing this adventure with you!
See you soon,
Amandine -

More details about your skills
I have some knowledge about gardening thanks to my brother and my father. I’m not a professional, but I know the basics and I’m very curious to learn more and improve my skills!
I also love cooking, especially for groups. For me, it’s a nice challenge to respect everyone’s food intolerances and to cook things I don’t know yet.
I tried sailing a little bit about six years ago. If I’m lucky enough to meet someone who would like to teach me the basics again, I would be very happy to learn!
I’m also a volunteer at a festival in France called “Les Vieilles Charrues”, so I have some experience working in a bar and serving people. :)
Finally, I worked in an organic shop, so I have experience with customers and all the skills that come with it, such as communication, helping people, and working as part of a team.
I’m comfortable with everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking, taking care of animals, looking after a place, and helping with anything that needs to be done. :)
I’m always happy to learn new things, discover new skills, and help wherever I can! -

What else ...
I really enjoy having deep conversations with people. I’m interested in everyone’s life stories and experiences.
I love sharing music and sounds, discovering new bands, local bands and different kinds of music.
I love spending time at the pub with my friends, people close to me and new people I meet. And I have a little weakness for good beer! I’m also very interested in brewing and would love to learn more about it.
I enjoy hiking, but I’m also someone who loves walking in everyday life. Whether I walk alone or with someone, walking helps me clear my mind and feel better. I simply love being in nature. ;)
I have never spent a long time on a farm, but I would really like to discover more about the daily life of farmers. I have a soft spot for sheep and goats, haha!
I had the chance to spend quite a lot of time sailing one summer, and I would love to do it again. I’d really enjoy spending time in a marina, helping with boat maintenance and helping with different sailing activities.
I’m curious and excited about learning new things, trying new activities and getting fully involved! -
