Hi I'm Darcy,
I spent 2024 in the Balkans volunteering and had a really great time. I came back home and now i want to head to South America for an extended period of time.
I'm from a remote part of Australia and love seeing and living in new places. After graduating with a business degree in 2018, I worked in a Government Admin role, since then I've worked at schools in Cambodia, Australia and New Zealand as a student support worker or boarding hostel staff and really enjoy it, but also enjoy anything new and different, especially in a new place. I have a minimalist and adventurous lifestyle that I'm keen to continue.

I have a business degree majoring in marketing and management from the University of Melbourne, but truthfully haven't used it much since. I've worked in primary schools, high schools, ESL schools, and a student boarding hostel in different places as well as private tutoring.

This is a wonderful place to disappear into. The accom they house you in is really nice, the lunches your treated to on the days you work are incredible and very filling. The kitchen you have access to is really well stocked.

I had a fantastic time here in Guamal with Ricardo and his family. Luisa is a great point of contact and the family is very very welcoming. It's small town life but still with all the amenities you could need. Nice walks, nice swimming. A private volunteer area with kitchen and all the bits and bobs you could need. What a true joy it was hosting Darcy and his friend Katya. The two of them came to us as a surprise, after their arrangements had proven to be less than desirable. I spent a great 2 weeks here. They took a friend and I on short notice (we were already in contact)
Jessie and Seada have a beautiful house, a garden with lots to do, fun animals.
The work was varied, we picked fruit, made preserves, weeded, planted, harvested, dug a canal, trimmed the yard and sealed a roof just to name a few.

I had a really really good time staying 2 months here. Atlas and Ilir are great hosts and points of contact and I consider them good friends now that I could always return too. I had an easy going good time in my 3 and a half weeks here. It was a little different to some workaways, they asked if i could do a few hours each morning rather than 5 days of 5 hours, but it worked out to less than 25 hours a week.
