Description
I've volunteered on vineyards, gardens and general farms in Italy and contract type mustering Brahman cattle in central Queensland.
I'm from Christchurch, New Zealand and working in Health & Safety to earn money to travel. I've been an army engineer and vineyard manager so know my way around machinery and wine. I learned how to weld doing my engineering training but that was a while ago. I'm good with animals, especially horses and dogs but am finding a new love for cats and chickens and the usual barn yard critters.
Have most of my licences so I can help on tractors or motor bikes.
My kids have left home now but I can remember the basics of Childcare if that's where you need a hand. I taught both of them through correspondence school when we were travelling.
I can clean and cook but definitely not to the level of domestic goddess. I enjoy learning recipes from different cultures and loved cooking classes I took in Rome and Bali.
My bucket list includes a horse stud in Kentucky, a chance to do something helpful in Asia and the northern lights. I’ve recently taken up scuba diving which is quickly becoming my new passion.
In short I’m a good kiwi worker prepared to lend an enthusiastic hand with what ever you need, in exchange for kindness. I mostly speak English but picked up some Italian and Spanish when I needed to and look forward to learning what ever new language I need to. -
