Description
Hello friends! I find it little difficult to write about myself, I mean like all of us - I don't fit in just one (text)box :)
My name is Danielle (26, portuguese and german🇵🇹🇩🇪) – but you can call me whatever you want haha I already got many names, so you are free to improvise and surprise me!
I love slow travelling and my goal is to live in many different countries. I enjoy exploring different countries, their people, cultures and languages.
The result, I have been volunteering for 5 years now, living in 3 different countries, counting 8 volunteer projects. During my work and volunteer experience I've learned a lot about myself, found new friends and places that felt like home, had special conversations and made a lot of memories. It’s always such a special feeling, that I just can’t stop volunteering :)
I am more of a calm person, I enjoy the simple things, but always ready to have fun (if it's not on someone's costs!), to explore, to connect with people, to share stories and especially create new ones. I love deep conversations but I also enjoy time by myself reading a good book or something.
I am a polite, patient, and independently working person, always ready to help wherever it is needed. I would call myself unjudgemental and empathetic, with an open ear for everyone around me.
I enjoy volunteering, 'cause of the closeness to nature, back to basics, and free of society's expectations. Where people are just enjoying life, living in the here and now. Where I can learn more about myself and life in general, where I can grow and meet new people to share experiences.
Most interesting achievements:
🥾 Walked the Camino de Santiago (600km Pilgrimage)
🦥 Got promoted to Assistant manager in my last volunteer project -

More details about your skills
I would call myself an allrounder. I'm pretty good and efficient at everything but I have no exceptional skill in a particular area. Things I don’t yet know, I am more than happy to learn, I love acquiring new skills and information. Plus, I am very good and quick at learning, as well as open to new or different ways of doing things.
Useful things I learned so far:
Training and Teaching Volunteers – Leading a team – Willdlife Animal Wellfare and Care – Working with/for Clients – Cleaning and Organizing
Social skills people value in me:
Empathy – Good listener – Patience – Openminded – Respectful – Calmness – Curiosity – Loyalty
I value:
Honesty – Kindness – Humour – Creativity
I might beat you at: Board Games – Papercrafts – Massages – Reading – Hiking
Feel free to challenge me ;) -

What else ...
I am very progressive and open-minded but I also do love it old school :)
I prefer letters over telefone calls, board games over video games, I think books can never be replaced by e-readers and I am always the odd one out for not having any streaming services. I hate AI from the bottom of my heart, it scares me... I started my own little Vinyl collection after my dad gave me his record player. Handwritten notes are irreplacable. I love second hand shopping and if something doesn't fit, I sew it myself. If I promise something, I keep my promise. If I have nothing nice to say I rather stay quiet and if I have something nice to say I always mean it :) -

Can only recommend this place wholeheartedly! This project is the best I've ever been. So worth it! Even for just 3 weeks
