Description
Hello! My name is Cris. I’m an Industrial Designer, Sensory Artist, and DJ who has been based in Bali since the pandemic. Over the past years, I’ve dedicated myself to creating projects that explore connection, creativity, and well-being through design, sound, and sensory experiences.
I started a project that brings multisensory (blindfolded) workshops and retreats to life, blending art, meditation, forest bathing, and group dynamics.
I also run Fluye, my passion project as a DJ, powered by music, art, and nature, with the intention of turning it into a collaborative platform with social impact. Along the way, I’ve learned to host, facilitate, and collaborate with communities, retreat organizers, and artists from many different backgrounds.
My background includes product design, accessibility for blind and visually impaired people, volunteering for six months in Japan, and collaborating in one of the most unique sensory theaters in the world.
I’ve also managed creative projects such as an international DJ booking agency and a small food brand in Mexico. These experiences have taught me adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving, and how to bring ideas from vision into reality.
I’ve also collaborated with rural communities in Mexico by giving innovation workshops as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping them develop products and tackle local challenges. In addition, I’ve lived and worked for long periods on farms in the mountains and forests, building camps and experiencing community life close to nature.
I see myself as calm, positive, flexible, and resilient, with a bit of a rebel streak (in a good way!). I enjoy working in teams as well as independently, sharing knowledge, and adapting to new environments. I value respect, empathy, and sustainability in everyday life. I’ve been following a vegetarian and plant-based diet for almost 20 years.
**Travel intentions 2025
After years in Bali, I’d like to explore new places, connect with meaningful projects, and collaborate with hosts who share values of creativity, community, and conscious living. I’m especially interested in nature-based projects, retreats, cultural exchange, sustainability, and places where I can contribute both practically and creatively.
I’m also carrying my DJ equipment with me to record sessions in outdoor and natural locations. So far, I’ve created recordings in Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia, and I’d love to continue exploring and capturing the energy of new places through music.
