Namaste!

I am Christina my nickname is Christina Mariposa.

I have wanted to do workaway exchanges for close to 5 years now. Finally, the time has arrived that I can do these magical things! I am new to Workaway, but not new to world travel. I've traveled to, London, Spain, El Salvador, Mexico (I lived and taught English and Zumba in Mexico for 4 months), Taiwan (I performed with the Dance Troupe PURE New York in Taipei, Taiwan at the Red House Theatre and a sold-out weekend program, Morrocco (I visited Morocco for 1 month), Dominican Republic, Cuba, and I've been to all but two (2) states in the lower 48. I love to travel, meet new people, and be of service to my fellow human.

I am a jack-of-all-trades and master of some. I have interests in many things, and I am a life-long student/teacher of things that I have learned along this path called life. I adore being in nature, surrounded by culture and giving back to my fellow human. I strongly believe that I was born to do this work of community and that the business of life here in the United States blocked my way for a while. Working crazy hours, paying bills, eat, sleep, and start over again. I firmly believe that each of us are not meant to merely exist on this planet to do these things which are somewhat empty of heart. We are meant for greater things.

I am an artist and love using my hands to create! I write poetry, paint landscapes and architecture, I love cooking and baking, singing, working in nature, painting houses and other things of a remodel nature, I am currently studying Astrology. I am also studying for my CPA license (Certified Public Accountant). I have an advanced degree - MBA in Finance and Banking. I have worked as a landscaper and farmer. I make natural medicines and natural beauty products. I love connecting with like-minded people and keeping those connections indefinitely - to me that is one of the most important things in this life.

Additionally, I am certified in Scuba diving and enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, photography, swimming, kayaking, fishing, exploring caves and embarking on adventures and so on...But most importantly, I am looking to become a part of a community and give volunteer work wherever I am needed. I am flexible in my schedule and lengths of time to volunteer and open to return to volunteer again.

I am presently planning out the different places I want to volunteer. I ask for your patience and understanding as I plan and organize visits with you responsibly. The destinations on my page are tentative as I have to wait for a response from a Host in order to solidify plans and book airfare, proper visas, etc.

I can - Teach English, Teach Zumba Dance and workouts, cook, bake, clean, paint Art, Singing, professional office, reception, organization, etc. Farming and harvesting, food preservation, Natural Medicine maker, work in construction - painting, small appliance installations, floor installation assist, minor plumbing and electrical, hostel reservations, computer work, customer service, well-written, quick learner and hard worker. I know I am forgetting to add other things!

What else ...

I used to live in New York for many years. I attended college there and worked as an Auditor/Accountant as well as, Property Managment. Additionally, I was a professional Flamenco dancer and Middle Eastern Dance and am certified Zumba instructor. I lived in Merida, Mexico for four (4) months to Teach English and Zumba fitness classes, while working at my aunts Olympic Gym for acrobatic students. I assisted the students in trampoline and aerial acrobatics.

I am a dance troupe member of the P.U.R.E Dance Troupe of New York and performed with the Troupe in the USA as well as Internationally - NYC, New Jersey, Florida, Mexico, and Taiwan.

I love music and music moves me!
