  • Description

Retired early (2004) and fill my life with adventures, cooking, and organizing homes of friends as well as extensive pet / house sitting around the world.

Am equally competent on the water, in the mountains, on a ranch and bustling city.

Looking forward to utilizing my organizational, gardening, yard work, building project help, and hospitality talents where they’ll be appreciated and am delighted to learn new skills as I participate in unique workaway opportunities.

  • More details about your skills

I am trusted with maintaining homes and caring for domestic pets in urban and rural settings, Independent and competent at repositioning vehicles, not afraid of the rain nor getting dirty tackling outdoor projects.

If it’s time for a refresh like spring cleaning or redecorating I have an eye for detail. If you have a garden that is producing and you need help preserving foods or learning new recipes; my international culinary skills come in handy. I earned a Diplome de cuisine from Le Cordon Bleu (London UK) in 2006 and immerse myself in the culture and cuisine of the places I've lived (including but not limited to:) Spain, France, England, Argentina, Hong Kong, Hangzhou, Taiwan, Louisiana, Florida, Washington state.

I can drive stick as well as automatic, have my motorcycle license and pleasure craft operator,

  • What else ...

Among the many culinary and wine producing regions I have lived such as the Languedoc and Gascony of France, my French may be rusty but with immersion I find I can communicate effectively.

I speak Spanish having lived in the regions of Andalucia Spain and Patagonia Argentina so cooking and socializing in Castillano brings me great joy.

When I am not involved in a WorkAway style project, my life for the last 20 years has been spending time with friends, taking care of their homes / pets - I enjoy day hikes, biking, visiting museums, reading, and looking for travel deals to see where I should head to next.

There's so much more experience I have and skills I bring to any length of stay, so if you don't see it listed here feel free to ask.

No task too big or small for me to consider as a solo worker or part of a team. I am equally comfortable with variety, spontaneity and repetition.

If your position would benefit from a workawyer providing farm to table cooking demos, culinary classes for your b&b, or someone dedicated to preparing meals and snacks during your building projects I thrive in those environments and make your life easy.

Contact me about your needs, I would love to see how I can weave in to your projects and day to day flow.
