Hi! I'm Caroline, I'm 34, originally from France but I've lived various countries and currently living in Dublin, Ireland. I am taking a career break to focus on my current interests: spending time in nature, doing manual work (especially construction/renovation/DIY), learning various crafts while travelling around Europe. I've previously done one workaway in the Netherlands in construction/renovation, and one woofing experience on an organic farm. I absolutely loved it and can't wait go on my next workaway adventure!

A bit more about myself:

I love gardening, cooking, baking, reading, discovering new cultures, and speaking foreign languages. My current hobbies consist in trying everything artsy crafsty: painting, mosaic, wheel throwing pottery, handbuiling... and this year I want to learn woodwork :D
I am a sporty and playful person so if fellow volunteers are looking for someone to play ping-pong, football or board games during our free time, I will always be up for it!

I am an easy-going, patient, tidy and self-motivated person. I can appreciate time on my own but also love engaging in a good chat and sharing quality time with people. I have a driving license and happy to drive if needed. Although this is not my main workaway goal, I can also help with IT/computer stuff if needed. I am a non-smoker, occasionally enjoy a drink in social gatherings but can also do without it. I have no allergies nor food restrictions.

I have been a French and English teacher and love learning new languages so language exchange is definitely something I am open to. One of my life-long hobbies is painting: I mostly make paintings on canvas but I can also paint walls or furniture. Although i can't consider myself an expert, I enjoy working with my hands for all sorts of activities like DIY, renovating, building things, etc, and I usually learn quite fast. Every summer since I was a child, I spend some time in a family farm so I'm used to being in the countryside and walking around chicken :) I have also got some experience in picking fruits and planting vegetable seeds in a garden.

Some of my favorite games are Dixit, Detective Club,Carcassonne, common card games, and trivia but I'm always happy to learn new ones!
On a weekly basis, I always try to make some time for fitness activities like jogging, cycling, stretching and meditating. If we're a fun crowd, I would happily take part in playing team sports like football, basketball or badminton.
I have a cat at home and would be thrilled to have cats (or other pets) to take care of during my workaway adventure.
